Chronic cough, overactive airway and baclofen
I was treated with
spiriva
, symbicort and montelukast but was still unable to go outside when the temperature got below about 11 degrees (about 6 months of the year in the UK!) I was referred to Professor Alyn Maurice at the Hull cough clinic who suggested a few drugs to try.

Anybody else in this situation?
So far I’ve been under hospital care for the last 18 months with me now taking what feels like an army of inhalers/tablets a day (symbicort, bricanyl,
spiriva
, Alcon and montelukast).

Newly Diagnosed
I was told 3 days ago it said COPD lungs and was prescribed
Spiriva
. I'm 45. I have to wait a few weeks for this to kick in and virus to be completely gone. I'm shocked and concerned about the stage as I'm guessing as it showed on X ray (hyperinflation of lungs) it must be more than stage 1?

Diagnosed with bronchiectasis
Used to have terrible pain in my ribs, chest and back, but the
Spiriva
and antibiotics helped that a bit. I find exercise or any physical activity is my demon, it totally flattens me and leaves me breathless.

I had to go to the health assessment DWP and after using my inhalers (fostair ,
spiriva
)and pumping myself with my reliever a few times I was ask to breathe into a peak flow meter. I breathe as hard as I could to the point of coking at the end and my chest rattling.

Been told by Dr surgery I will have to take braltus instead of spiriva is it a cost thing?
Had a letter from my doc surgery saying that have been reviewing prescriptions are changing my tiotropium (
spiriva
) capsule to Braltus capsules. I am a little concerned as I am very happy with
spiriva
and i am being forced to change. Anyone else use Braltus inhaler capsuls & are they ok.

spiriva problems
a common theme runs through correspondence empty capsules or tiny doses of medication.i have recently opened capsules over 4 months 50%were empty. my pharmacy says all is ok. my gp also not interested. is this perhaps a case of corrupt quality control as in Tanaka steel or no quality control.i presume

Change of Medicine
I have COPD and been taking
Spiriva
18 mg capsules together with Salbutamol for around 2 years. No problems with either and am used to them. I have just collected my 2 month repeat prescription and see that they have given me Braltus tiotropium instead.

Brittle Asthma.
So Nurse started me off on steroids plus Antibodies,
Spiriva
Respimat, DuoResp and Ventolin inhalers. She also put in place an Asthma plan and gave me two telephone numbers in case I need to contact her or her team.
