A brief history of my COPD journey !
I have moved from a 4 hourly inhaler to an 8 hourly inhaler and have been on
Spiriva
since last February which I think is 12 hourly. I have never been referred to anywhere else like a pulmonary nurse or rehab centre and was surprised when someone said I should of been !!!

Genetic Propensity For COPD
I never smoked but was diagnosed with COPD and put on
spiriva
respimat last year and I'm in my 70's. Even though we're both lucky to have lived a long time without this health problem, I think there may be a correlation because many people never do get COPD even if they have smoked.

MD
I'm only breathless upon exertion, and so far only on Anoro and
spiriva
and an emergency inhaler. I want to know if anyone else is like this and how long before they had to use oxygen? Good health to all!

Left inhaler in UK
Hi everyone Somehow I have left my
Spiriva
(Tiotropium Bromide) inhaler in the UK when coming on holiday to the US. It's very expensive to go to a doctor here and with medication on top is likely to cost nearly £200. I have medical insurance but the excess is £100.

I CURED MYSELF OF COPD?
Having been issued with a
Spiriva
powder inhaler and a Ventolin Evohaler, after attending a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme at my local hospital and being given advice on how best to manage the condition I had to get on with the rest of my life as best as I could.

EKLIRA GENUAIR (ALACIDINIUM BROMIDE)?
Hi, My COPD nurse has changed me from
spiriva
to Eklira Genuair. Just wondering if anyone is using this and if it is more effective than
spiriva
? The nurse told me that Eklira is a lot cheaper which is okay if it's just as good or better. Would appreciate your comments.

Customary Update!
For instance, if I started
Spiriva
whilst tapering off pred, and my symptoms returned, we wouldn't know if that were down to the decreased dose of pred, or if I don't get on with the
Spiriva
.

So...does cannabis oil work?
He suggested i try stopping my medication, which is
Spiriva
and just take ventolin as and when required for my Asthma. Because he does not believe the results, he has booked me in for another test in 2 months time. So, is it the raw vegetables or the cannabis oil?

Advice Needed - Test result. IgE 1142, precipitin positive, other severe illnesses, no treatment?
Main medications are Qvar inhaler,
Spiriva
inhaler, and immunosuppressants (Methotrexate (low dose) and Enbrel) for psoriatic arthropathy, and painkillers / creams for psoriasis. Conditions have been stable for years.

It just won't stop
I'm on symbicort, montelukast,
spiriva
(for COPD even though I don't have COPD). I'm desperate. I had to resign from my last job because mentally and physically I couldn't carry on. I have a new job and don't want the same thing to happen again.

COPD STUDY
Having had to stop my
spiriva
and symbicort to do the tests I just realise how much I need them - just using inhalers at the moment but if I had doubts about my meds I certainly know now I need them. 😀Ps how do I edit my upside down profile pic??

Atrovent
I'm finding that with the exception of symbicort, my other inhalers such as tudorza, and
spiriva
aren't helping the way I expected.i was thinking of trying Atrovent. So I'm asking anyone who is using Atrovent what their opinion is, and if they find it to be helpful with breathing.

Spiriva respimat
I'm wondering if anyone on this site has stage 4 copd and asthma, and if they find using
spiriva
helpful at this stage, or are breathing better on a different medication. Thank you for your reply.

Put a temporary hold on my Dulera and Spiriva
On
Spiriva
almost a month, not much difference. Maybe after I first use it, then it's like I never took it. Maybe the same could be said for Dulera. Once lasts 24 hr, one 12 hr. I just don't know sometimes.

Lung hyperinflation
I hope that
Spiriva
can reduce it over time. It has been shown favorably with LVRS in this regard. Not sure if others are in the same boat and have had improvement. I have been on
Spiriva
only 3 weeks. Supposed to have a HRCT, with inspiration/expiration in a couple weeks and a stress ECHO.
