Help - any advice greatly appreciated
Our daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis (curve of the spine) in November 2020 and had spinal surgery in March last year. Sadly, the pain still hasn’t eased and we are now almost 44 weeks post op. She has a constant ache across her back and a periodic stinging burning in her left shoulder. Her back

Is there a future for spinal cord stimulation in PD?
Watch the before and after videos. Can this be done without surgery? https://www.brainstimjrnl.com/article/S1935-861X(21)00826-3/fulltext

Apologies for the long post. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and best wishes for a happy & healthy New Year head. Has anyone undertaken a three week residential pain management course in Bath? Am I right in thinking that it is primarily physio and psychology based and is there any medication input

Trying to get off Sinemet
Still stuck on Sinemet (100mg levidopa/25mg carbidopa) which augmented causing severe muscle rigidity along with the worsening RLS convulsions. It was originally prescribed over 2 years ago to reduce potential damages to 4th spinal surgery. No one realized it would be so difficult to stop. I tapered

Update on work done nationally by joint thyroid groups
I posted this on another thread, but more will people will see it as a separate post: Since 2018 the groups below have worked closely together as a consortium, as well as doing their own work. We produced the Liothyronine dossier requested by DHSC and Lord Hunt., and also sent to NHSE. The British Thyroid

Bloods and reduced T3
Hi all Since my last post, I had felt overcooked on T3. Endo suggested reduction of T3 from 2.5mcg along with T4 87.5mcg levo in the morning and 2.5mcg reduction in the afternoon. I decided to hold the T4 at 87.5mcg, and whilst the T3 reduction stopped the adrenals from throbbing and the hip from

Thank you for being here for me!
I’m still trying to wrap my head around my current situation, so please forgive me if I’ll repeat what was discussed in my previous posts. Just to reiterate: in September my 6-month PET scan showed stable disease. 10 days later, the routine spine MRI indicated new spinal cord edema from T3-T4 to T9

For Those Interested....what a journey. My new Prostate cancer that has gone into my brain's lining....and also my brain...Stone Crabs
I have to start with a very aggressive MRI of my spine and lower brain THEN, I have to have a
Spinal
Tap
. Doesn't sound like fun...but it's a necessity. Then I have to begin the full brain radiation treatment. I will also have another doctor who will help with the process.

Calmare Therapy/Scrambler Therapy
Has anyone tried Calmare or Scrambler Therapy for Neuropathic nerve pain post surgery after having a spinal fusion carried out for scoliosis? Been reading about it online, not available in the UK but it is in Ireland, Italy and the US.
