A muddy 12k...🙂
I have recently seen my 5k pace return to what it was a year ago and am feeling stronger all the time (this may be to do with now being on medication for hypothyroidism and taking
spatone
to boost my rubbishy iron levels!)

B12 def and IBS symptoms
I was taking
spatone
but I stopped because that was definitely not helping. I could do with the iron, though, which is an issue. Ideas? If it might be the vitamins, are there brands which are more gentle?

Bloating so bad I look pregnant
Im taking d3, k2 and magnesium fir the low d and folic acid to aid the 12 weekly b12 injections plus
spatone
to try to raise my ferritin which was also low/normal. The bloating is so bad its causing breathing difficulties and exacerbating low back pain.

Anaemic again?
I know
Spatone
isn't a high iron dose, but I struggle to take anything else due to IBS. I take
Spatone
, a multivit and folic acid every day, and have a B12 jab about weekly (8 weekly at the surgery, supplemented by SI in between).

Low iron- third trimester
The dr wanted me to have an infusion but I declined and started taking
Spatone
sachets 2/3 times a day. 3 weeks later I had a repeat blood test and my hb has risen to 104 but ferritin remains at 5.

Help needed to interpret son's results
He has been taking iron supplement for the last few months (
Spatone
) and has liver occasionally but I think he needs to increase this. Thanks in advance, [Admin Note: Image with results temporarily deleted so that poster can redact son's NHS number and GP name]

Can I ask what your symptoms are?
However, I’ve just changed GP and they checked my levels, they have gone up to 10.7 which GP says is fine now it’s nearer to the recommended level of 11 (I’ve been taking
Spatone
regularly , couldn’t take anything else because it would make my IBS symptoms worse).

Continuous low ferritin levels
Then to go onto lower dose
SpaTone
for 3 months and then book a blood test. The results of this blood test show that my ferritin is 'normal' at 18 (range 15 - 300) and so is my mean corpuscular haemoglobin at 27.6 (range 27 - 32).

I came off the omeprazole but the restless legs won't go away now even with the
spatone
. I don't get it every night but almost. For 40 years I have also been an insomniac averaging about 2 hours sleep a night. My mind won't shut down.

Low Ferritin in 14 year old son
He's on
Spatone
right now but I know that won't be doing much. He was at the very lowest point on the range for his ferritin. Doctor said it didn't matter! Thanks very much

Blood tests
This time last year my ferritin was 113 so it has dropped but that is probably because I had stopped taking the
Spatone
. I haven't yet resumed taking supplements. Any views?

Iron experiments results
Plus
spatone
20 mg (ie 4 sachets) per day. Next result was 28 (12 - 250). The last 6 months I've relied on diet alone. Result 128 (13 - 150). Has any one else had similar results?

Iron supplement advice
Hi all, I have low ferritin which I have supplemented using a sachet of
spatone
a day and brought up from 13 to 26 with the range of 23-300. It is the only vitamin/mineral that's crucial for thyroid function that I'm low in and as I'm still having issues I'd like to try to raise it higher.

PA but now have some stomach issues
Could they be connected to
spatone
iron? Could that irritate my stomach? I've stopped taking
spatone
just now but reckon my ferritin is low. Last tested in march and was 14 which I don't feel is that high. Gona go back see GP or a private consultant if anyone can recommend one near Glasgow?

Other results
I take
spatone
iron because I found iron tablets heavy on my stomach. I eat a lot of veg and folate rich foods and doctors have encouraged me to eat more which I have done so why my folate is still so low I don't know. Doctor has given me 800iu D3 for vitamin D deficiency.
