First transfer done - now I have questions - hope you can help :)
Thanks to all of you for being so supportive throughout my first IVF cycle, hopefully you'll continue to share your awesomeness and wisdom! I of course will offer advice where I can :) On Saturday we had one day 5 early blastocyst put back in, they said as it's too early they cannot grade but are happy

Update - ADT with Zytiga Failure (Castration Resistant) after 6 Months (PSA 90.3); Firmagon still Working; PSMA PET Scan Ordered
I came right out of the gate with Gleason 9 Stage 4 Advanced Prostate Cancer with more than 5 Metastases in January of this year. Firmagon brought the Testosterone down to < 7 almost right away, but PSA went to 160. Zytiga and Prednisone were added in March and brought the PSA back down to 5. The PSA

ACR Ratio Confusion
My PCP has issued labs to monitor my kidneys. To date no formal diagnosis. My blood sodium, potassium, creatinine; always in the normal range. My urine pH, Protein, Glucose, Ketones, Erythrocytes, Nitrate, and Leukocytes are also always in the normal range. Two generations of Acute Nephritis in family

A few weeks ago I posted with a query regarding RAI or surgery to deal with a large non-toxic retrosternal goitre. Thank you to everyone that replied, I found your comments really helpful. This afternoon I saw another consultant who was a bit more forthcoming than the previous one. RAI wasn’t mentioned

Is there anyone that can further educate me on the combination of POTS, FND, and other medical issues one of my best friends is facing?
One of my best friends is struggling with many medical conditions and has been diagnosed with having POTS, a FND, has what we call “episodes” in the middle of classes and at times will run out of rooms to avoid being made a spectacle of in front of others. They shortest amount of time they usually last

I was dx with CKD, Phase3, in 2018. GRF stayed between 55-60, I spill protein and have since being dx with diabetes in 2003. In the last 8 months or so, protein in urine has gone way up, as has my potassium. Now trying to stay low potassium, cutting sodium. My question is: I rarely salt my food

Good experience!
I've moved from London to Liverpool and my main fear has been how this would impact my injection treatment for wet amd. I can't have iodine & in London I was always questioned about it & made to feel I was an outlier. I had my first injection appointment in Liverpool today & noone batted an eyelid about

Test results
Hi all, Was wondering if anyone could offer advice on my latest test results? I was also being tested for diabetes at the same time so unsure if some of the results are from that test. T3, T4 and TSH all look within normal ranges to me but Sodium and Potassium are out of normal range and don’t know

Has anyone tried Mirtazapine?
My doctors put me on these. I’d say there great for sleeping but don’t seem to be helping anything else. I am still using codeine to control the symptoms. I don’t use them every day. But I find they work. The most I use is 3 or maybe 4 on a bad day. I prefer them to Imodium because for some reason Imodium

Hi there. A bit of background before I waffle on… RAI treatment (for overactive thyroid in Feb 20). Thyroid became tender and I felt unwell about 1 1/2 weeks after treatment. Use of thyroid hormones in hypothyroid and euthyroid patients: a 2020 THESIS questionnaire survey of members of the Hellenic Endo Society
We have often discussed Greece and their use of T3 (*liothyronine) - moist especially due to the very reasonable price of their own T3 product from Uni-Pharma. For that reason, I half-expected an article regarding thyroid treatment in Greece to see T3 rather more visible than in the UK. Whilst they

Iodine
Hi, I have Hashimoto’s. Like many been on a journey to get well for years. I’m in menopause. Decided I am going to to a process of elimination getting things tested to ensure I am optimising on vitamins/minerals/supplementation etc. I did a urine iodine test through Medichecks which has come back as

Iodine plus levothyroxine after Thyroidectomy?
Hi there. I had my thyroid removed since 2018, has anyone taken the violet iodine brand (molecular iodine), or some other along with levothyroxine? I have read that iodine helps in fibrocystic mastopathy, muscle aches, premenstrual syndrome, POS, etc. Levothyroxine has not been enough for me and T3
