The Strengths and Keys of my Recovery
Hey Troops, Potty Mouth is back as several of you have messaged me to ask about what I have done to support such a great response to health so here it is. I began August 9, 2018 with decompensated stage 4 cirrhosis. I had ascites, HE, jaundice, crazy itching and liver values off the chart. I also had

Explosive d* - anxiety?
I almost went 3 whole weeks without my one Imodium per week (took one last on the 22 of December) and managed Christmas just fine, normal stools and quite a change in diet (no broccoli, sprouts, risky fruits and alot less chocolate and cake). Along with this I had no work, gigs or nerve inducing plans

Syncope diagnosis
I have always been prone to light headed ness and fainting but not that regularly until the last 18 months. I had brain surgery 12 months ago to remove benign tumour and now the symptoms are daily and I have been advised that brain surgery can exaggerate the condition. Initially I was told my first episode

I there a better diet tracker?
Does anyone know of a diet tracker other than the Davita one, that shows nutritional values for food by weight (ounces, grams, lb., etc.)? One thing that makes it difficult to be completely accurate with the Davita tracker, is that sometimes the measurements for a particular item are very difficult (

Extreme fatigue. Could it be the trileptal? Low sodium?
My soon to be 9 year old son has been on Guanfacine for 1.5 years. We are on 3mg. Once a day. Started having more issues at home and the school too. Psychiatrist added trileptal - 75mg am, and 75 mg after school. It’s been 3 weeks and 2 days since we started. If anything, his moods have gotten worse

Levo and Sodium
Hi everyone it’s been awhile since I’ve been here. So I have a question I’ve taken the RAI pill two years ago and I’m on 112 mg of my Levo it has Sodium in it. I also have early stages of Cirrhosis and I don’t have any trace of Hep-c so I been reading up on my meds and noticed it will make my liver worse

Trying to help my father (CKD) patient
I think it is the medicines that is causing him so much problem - the phosphate binder,
Sodium
Bicarbonate
, blood pressure medications, vitamins, supplements. I really don't know. It's time to evaluate his medications. We also plan to do his H.Pylori test- stool. Lets see what is the outcome.

IBS-D - Silicogel
For anyone like me, who suffers from IBS-D, I would thoroughly recommend Solicogel, which you can buy from any natural health shop, such as Holland and Barratt. I have tried many things over the last few years since my problem got worse, but other than the usual Imodium type of tablets, this works very

IBS basics for beginners
Excessive burping which starts a couple of hours after eating can be due to excessive acid being neutralized by the
sodium
bicarbonate
that is released by your pancreas, releasing more CO2 than you can cope with re-adsorbing.

Radium 223 success/advice?
My 82 year old dad has prostate cancer that has spread to the bones and after becoming hormone resistant he will be starting Radium 223 soon, as long as his next scan doesn't show any nasties. Does anyone have any success stories of this? Does it work better with anything else? Any advice would be appreciated

FDA investigating Metformin for Carcinogens
The investigation by the FDA of Metformin (probably the most investigated drug of all time given its long history for use with Type 2 diabetes) for the carcinogen NMDA is of some concern given the plethora of generic manufacturers of this drug, especially from India and China. Hi, New here, so hopefully this post is correct? I moved to Vietnam 2 years ago, whilst over there, I’m very careful in what I eat & where I eat but I have diarrhoea/loose bowl movements at least once a week. I came to the UK for Xmas for 2 weeks (I’m still here) & I still had diarrhoea, I had it on

9 months after Chemo PSA on the rise.
Saw Oncologist today, my PSA has been steady 0.028 since the Chemo ended, today it's 0.70. I had the surgery (subcapsular orchiectomy) in Nov so maybe my body just needs to settle from the trauma. I asked about Testosterone levels, he didn't know and he asked for another blood test. He did say the Chemo

IBS-C & low sodium levels in blood test
Hi all Does anyone else have low sodium levels in their bloods? If so, did you experience any adverse effects? I think mine is low because I drink about 4 litres of water a day (I came out of the womb thirsty :) - however i think being low in blood sodium could be contributing to my IBS-C. The reason

**UPDATE** Bloods: consistent low sodium levels (Bit freaked out!)
**Update:
I just spoke with my Dr - my urine sample came back normal - no Addison's or anything else! Wow, what a massive relief. Thanks to all who have contributed and offered support. I am on day three of cutting back water and adding salt back into my diet.
All the best
