Bloods.
I had some blood tests today. the nurse said the results will be back by tomorrow. My appointment with the doctor is tomorrow. I'm worried about bowel cancer. I know I will need a Colonoscopy to see what's happening. I am terrified of going tomorrow. What can they tell by the blood tests I wonder.

Back on the transplant list
Yesterday I returned to the lung transplant waiting list after an enforced break due to my Dad picking up his second bout of Covid. Fortunately, Lauren and I didn't get it, too. We've all been doing regular testing and we must have caught Dad's covid very early before he could unwittingly pass it on.

Quinidine Sulphate
About 11 years ago I was diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome and had a de-fib fitted as well as prescibed Quinidine and Bisoloprol which I have taken ever since. 4 years ago my de-fib activated so my Consultant increased the levles of Quinidine. However I am told by my Consultant & Pharmacy that they cannot

Severe gastric problems- MMF?
I had my kidney transplant in June of 2021 and am currently taking 500mg cell-cept bid. I started to have stomach issues around the 4 month mark, and they have progressed to the point where my daily activities, sleep, and quality of life is impacted. Up until this point, I have felt terrific! I

Well this Monday will take me closer to knowing if I’m to be accepted for transplant. Transplant was discussed with me by my specialist in November 2021 after a scheduled lung reduction was no longer viable. I had a few meetings at wythenshawe hospital, which is my nearest lung unit. I was given a

Hi everyone, I've had hypothyroidism (Hashimotos) for several years now and never felt 'well' that whole time, but at times have been able to cope and others (like now) absolutely can't. Allogenic Stem Cell Transplant
I [i]received a Stem cell transplant six months ago. My decision was based on the availability of a suitable donor and being able to get to remission through aggressive chemotherapy. Other treatments had no effect on my rapidly growing leukemia. As of today I’m still in remission, showing 97% chimerism

Hi, I am being offered a bone marrow transplant and wonder if anyone can offer me positive advice. Obviously the process is quite scary, but would like to think I'm doing the right thing. Thank you George

October 15th - 23 years later
Today is a special day for me...23 years ago today I had my kidney transplant! It was all because my donor, Ryan, said "yes" to organ donation. He was 16 years old and was killed in a horrible car accident. As a result, - I saw both of my daughters marry and I now have 2 buddies, my grandsons.

recurring aceties
my son has decompensated cirrhosis and goes to a hospice once a week to get fluid drained - he has a permanent drain fitted . He is getting worried as the last three weeks they’ve drained 5. 7. Then 8 litres. Does this mean his liver is getting worse ? I’ve read that a TIPS procedure could help -
