In vivo: another cryoimmunotherapy study, from northwestern
I have posted something about another study that is already phase 1 or 2, I must get back to it, where they used cryoablation to trigger immune response in prostate cancer...this uses a similar approach with some nano technology added https://medicalxpress.com/news/2024-09-generation-cancer-treatments-cryoimmunotherapy.html

Wondering (fearing) ADT.
In my bio - but, short version: Gleason “high 9”: 4+5 and 5+4 and 3+3 PSA 1078 on 8/28. Had an 11.4 mid July (different labs). Just had PET test - awaiting results, but docs so far thinking it is localized. I am 59. In very good shape in terms of strength, etc. Have lifted weights for decades (still

PSMA finding of thyroid cancer
My husband’s PSMA showed thyroid cancer. I understand that MPC rarely metastasizes to the thyroid, so it’s probably a separate issue. It’s hard to stay positive with two cancers now. I would like to hear positive stories from people who have dealt with a second cancer. Thank you.

Bladder cancer forum?
Hi, folks - I frequented this great forum several years ago during my father's treatment for metastasized prostate cancer. Now my husband has been diagnosed with Stage 2 bladder cancer which originated in the bladder, and I can't find a forum for that. I do see mentions of bladder cancer here. Am

Biopsy through Back
I am in the process of being dx'd with NSCLC and am wondering if anyone else has had a biopsy through their back? This is a distinct possibility for me and I am spooked by it since I fractured my back in multiple places (C3, T8, L4, L5). The Navigational Broncoscopy was inconclusive - doctor didn't

Quick question please!
Hi all. I haven't been here for quite a long time but have been going through a really bad time. I had NSCLC Adenocarcinoma 5½ year's ago and had a Lobectomy. Approx. 2½ years ago I fractured my vertebrae and am now waiting for an ' urgent ' MRI to check for cancer in my spine. My question though is

How dangerous is Pluvicto?
My brother-in-law finished the full set of Pluvicto treatments about four weeks ago. He’d done pretty well on the Pluvicto treatments. Two weeks later he and his wife started a short vacation but got a call from his oncologist to return home immediately. He was diagnosed with extensive cancer throughout

Decipher and me
I'm having trouble with my urology team that are doing my TRUS/Fusion biopsy next week. The doc is unwilling to send my sample out right away for Decipher. From what I understand, in my 'high risk' category, just based on MRI, genetic testing may be hugely helpful going forward. For the past week I've

Hi, This is my first time posting. I’m 34 and at the beginning of July I was diagnosed with 3C clear cell. There was a large mass at my ovary and a couple of deposits in lymph nodes in the fat layer. I also had blood clots on my lungs. I was told it was being treated as curative and that this type

I keep getting denied the CA-125 test!
52 y/o post-menopausal and was diagnosed with a 3.5 cm endo on my ovary. They were unsure what it was after the CT scan, unsure after the ultrasound. I then asked if I could get a CA-125 test because my aunt had ovarian cancer. Doctor said an MRI was better suited as they'd have to do that anyways no

hi everyone I just thought I would introduce myself. My husband was diagnosed with stage 2 oesophageal cancer (junctional) last month, he just turned 44. He starts chemo next week and from our online research seems he is for a common treatment plan of 4 x FLOT, oesophagectomy, then 4 x FLOT. It’s been

So, my father is 91. He has had stage 4 prostate cancer since 2016, he's had lupron, xtandi, radiation, bicalutamide. His prostate cancer was under control until July 5 of 2023 when he had severe headaches. We were told not to worry, it rarely ever moves to the brain....he had a CT then MRI and one large

Slowing down for balance. Thinking about QOL
Newbie, with recent mpMRI one week ago, see my last note, and my updated bio. Urologist is pushing me hard to get my TRUS biopsy at UW Madison ASAP, like next week. On the phone to me, in a brusque conversation, he said my picture is bleak. I've never met him in person. He says the biopsy is just the

Has anyone used Venetoclax?
My ex was diagnosed with CLL about 6 years ago and was at stage zero until this year. She is starting Venetoclax and immunotherapy this week and I was just checking to see if anyone had experience with this? TIA

3rd update to PSMA PET/liquid blood biopsy at uPSA 0.033 - cancer confirmed
Another reason for annual imaging and liquid blood biopsy testing at my very low stable PSA level: The statistical outlook does not fit my youthful, fit and otherwise very healthy 67. Just yesterday enjoyed a 9.2 mile rugged trail race with my 'younger' bother and daughter. I hope to draw on my efforts
