🧡 Remembering our beautiful, courageous and devoted mum, wife and nana Karen Clifford (represented by the KC in SKCIN) today on what would have been her 80th birthday.

Karen sadly lost her life to melanoma on New Year’s Eve 2005.

The devastation caused by her loss, made us determined to ensure her untimely death was not in vain.

Within 6 months of her passing, we formed the charity SKCIN, fueled with unrivalled passion to prevent such suffering for others and to fill the mammoth void that existed in the awareness arena.

With 90% of skin cancer cases preventable and almost all cases curable if detected early - education is without doubt our most powerful weapon in the fight against this devastating disease. 18 years on, we remain committed to saving lives by driving awareness of skin cancer prevention and early detection into the hands and hearts of communities nationwide.

Karen’s courage, kindness and devotion to her family, fuels our passion every day as she remains the inspiration behind our continued dedication to this cause.

🧡 Happy heavenly 80th birthday mum, we miss you every day, love you beyond words and hope we are doing you proud 🧡
