Help! - I need sleep
I was wondering whether anyone has had any positive, or otherwise, experience when taking Sinemet Plus? I was taking Stalevo 100 4 times a day and Requip XL 8mg once a day but was recently given Sinemet Plus 25mg in addition. My sleep pattern was at the most 2 hours after going to bed and then usually

2 x Madopar CR, 100mg taken 11pm tonight - ambulance called at 2am? Why did this happen?
I am not sleeping well at the moment. My GP suggested that I try 2 x Madopar CR for bedtime dose to see if that helped. I took them at about 11:30pm (I also had Baclofen in my system to calm painful leg dystonia). I fell asleep. I woke at about 2am this morning and felt a bit weird, like my blood

Husband 78 diagnosed with PD three years ago. Tremor in his left hand. Takes Rasagaline. Tremor much worse. Will Sinemet help tremor?
The docs want him to go on to Sinnemet---I am very much against it because of the side effects. At the moment there is just he very bad shake in left hand & up his arm, bad constipation & terrible handwriting. He runs a business & a National Charity. Am I wrong to stop him having Sinemet?

Does any know what I should do?
To control my Parkinson I take 12 meds per day. Sinemet, Azilect, Mirapex and Amantadine. Diagnosis was 5 years ago @ 50y/o. I still work FT. My medication regimen works for a while then it is back to the MD and medications are changed and/or a new one added? MD wanted me to take 2 Mirapex 3x/day

There is hope!
It's been 10 years since I was diagnosed - at the age of 58. I had been taking 2 sinemets (100/25) 3 x a day, and had been considering increasing the dosage to 4x a day - to make it a total of 8 sinemets a day - because, I felt that the sinemet was starting to last only 3.5 hrs. between doses instead

Drugs for Parkinson's- how do you spell their names?
This is not really a question, more an attempt to answer it. I have noticed many different spellings being used, and I bought a book about Parkinson's which includes drug names. The most commonly used drugs seem to be Madopar Sinemet Mirapexin also known as pramipexole Requip

Has anyone else been prescribed Sinemet as a treatment for RLS? If so, do you have any comments on its effectiveness?

Pains in Hip, Knees and Thighs
Background - I have ben taking Sinemet Plus for about 6 years, Amantadine for about the same and Azilect for about 4 years Question - As I have seen many references to pains in the hip and knee (like arthritis) and thigh (like you've been overworking them) I wondered if these pains are a side effect

Sinemet and not sleeping........
Sinemet is great but I am finding that I go a few days with a straight 5hrs sleep - yippee and then I go a few days with sleeping for an hour waking and then ping I am wide awake until 5am or 6am and up at 7am. Hence getting 2 to 3 hrs sleep. Then I have a night where I totally crash out at 11pm and

DR B REPLIES....... NEUROLOGISTS OUTCOME

Neurologists Outcome
Well, not what I thought. After waiting 7 months to see a certain consultant. He really didn't help much. Told me my doctor could give me whatever, asked if Ihad taken the following..... then he rattled off about six different drugs I had never heard of. I said no, why not, I haven't been offered them
