I am curious as to what kind of problems any one has had taking Sinemet?
I started taking it in August and am now having a few issues. I also taking. Requip XL 12mg a day. I am not sure if it could be my thyroid -- I'm at that lovely age where some days my body is not my own. HORMONES! Would kindly accept responses from the women . Please no snide Man remarks --I'm just not

Nausea ugh!
I felt like I had an invisible buzz saw going on inside of me, so I broke down and started sinemet to get it to stop please. And that dang sinemet makes me nauseous and feel like crud. I will stop it and go back to vibrating. Good lord, does the sinemet nausea ever go away?

Original symptoms, 2 years ago, slight right hand trembling, odd feeling in my head with stirring or washing hair motion, slumped shoudlers
when walking. I was put on 2 25/100 Carb/Levo a day. Thot I might have some improvement. I've had uncontrolled blood pressure so dr's have been trying to figure out what's goning on there. For last year, don't have any noticable improvement in movement after med even if taking w/ carbonated beverage

Side effect of Stalevo and Sinemet
I know that the above medications, and others, cause discolouration of Urine. However, on my off days my tremor is not controlled at all and I have noticed that my urine is a natural colour. I think this must mean that I am not absorbing my meds and this is why they are not working. This usually rights

Is anyone but me on Azilect only? When I tried to add Sinemet I had very high blood pressure spikes so I had to go off it.

Anyone trying LDN or interested in it?
My meds daily have been for a while:
Sinemet
Plus 750mg
CR
200mg, Amantadine 3x100mg, Zelapar 1.25 mg. I am not allowed dopamine agonists due to horrendous side effects of dopamine agonists. I was dx about twelve years ago. So this is the background to me starting LDN.

Why am I gaining so much weight?
I am careful, for the most part, what I eat, exercise regularly, and lead an active a life as Parkinsons allows me, but still I gain weight. I take Stalevo, Requip and half Sinemet daily. I ask this because it seems that people also taking these meds have the opposite problem - they are losing weight

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR SINEMET USERS
Internationally there have been some changes to the formulation of Sinemet. The result is that the tablets are no longer scored and cannot be halved as there is no guarantee that halving a tablet will give an accurate half dosage. The stock of Sinemet that is scored and can be halved is likely to be

Other possible side affects
Hi There - I have had RLS for about 7 years now and am on a combination of Ropinirole (2mg) and Sinemet. I have recently been getting really bad night sweats (approx 5 times a week) - waking up and being saturated in sweat. I also seem to be producing a lot of saliva and having to swallow more regularly

Sinemet CR
I have recently been prescribed
Sinemet
CR
in addition to my usual meds of Stalevo and Requip XL to help with sleep problems. However, in addition to them not helping with sleep my tremor seems to be quite a bit worse.

Is efficiency of meds affected by weather?
I don't know if this is because it was extremely cold, though we kept warm, or could be related to just having started on

Anyone in UK wondering about new style Sinemet plus tablets? (small and round)
Hi, I have just started taking the new style Sinemet Plus tablets, made by MSD, had my first ones yesterday am. I am very achey especially round jaw and shoulders, and have a nasty high pitched tinnitus. This is a little complicated because I am not fully recovered from a fluey bug. Nevertheless, I do

Is anyone else allergic to Sinemet?
Hello Everyone! I'm 49 years old and I was diagnosed in 2006, via med-challenge, after having spent 2 years in doctor's appointments and having testing done. I lost my job and my access to health insurance and ended up going to the local, public low/no cost health clinic for care. The doctor there

Sinemet CR and sleep
I have recently been prescribed
Sinemet
CR
to help with my sleep, or rather lack of it. I take 4 x Stalevo 100mg and 1x8mg Requip XL daily. I have been taking last Stalevo at about 7pm and Sinemet at about 10pm when going to bed as advised. I am still waking after about 2 hours.

Has anyone noticed the chemical smell that comes with taking Sinemet
I was taking Sinemet and Mirapex and gave up on the sinemet because i couldnt tolerate the smell of it.. Somehow this drug affected my sense of smell and everything i was exposed to. Coffee smelled terrible.. and even my breath had that chemical smell. One friend said he could tell if someone had pk

Do anybody know if Zandopa would work without taking Sinemet? I've had PD for almost 15 years and have been on Mirapex and
Amanadine the entire time. I have a prescription for Sinemet, but am weary of starting it. I don't know if my medications have carbidopa? Do you know if it is necessary to take something with the Zandopa or does it contain carbidopa. Please help me if you can. Thanks. Also where did you order it from

Does anyone have suggestions on how to manage dystonia?
I was diagnosed 4 years ago and feel that I am progressing quickly. I don't have tremors, so maybe that is why. I have read on this site that PD without tremors progresses faster. The two things that bother me the most are my inability to speak and dystonia in my right foot and leg. When I go to

Anyone know how long the waiting list is for DBS at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London?
Hi everyone, hope you are all okay. I had my consultation this week. I was told that the only option for me was DBS as medication is not working. Next step is to meet with the DBS Team at Queen Square. I am now left in a situation where I am simply trying to manage this rather precarious situation
