Just diagnosed
Hello My husband has just been diagnosed with Parkinsons after lots of other ongoing health problems. He is 74 and his health has been deteriorating for the last 7 years. I did suspect Parkinsons in the beginning but he has had so many other issues that it has been difficult to diagnose and got lost

When does Opicapone work?
Hi! For those who are taking Opicapone, how many days it needs for it to start to work? I started 2 nights ago at 11pm after 400 mg di Sinemet during the day, but it is like to eat a candy: nothing happens š«„

Grief or PD?
I was diagnosed with PD in 2018 at the age of 49. My neurologist prescribed Sinemet (2 pills 3x a day). My symptoms were well-managed and most people wouldn't have a clue that I have PD. The dexterity in my right hand and slow movement were my symptoms. Fast forward to May 2021. My wife was diagnosed

I just learned of this condition which is similar but apparently district from PD. This condition apparently evolves more from small strokes and primarily impacts balance and gait and a weakling of the lower body. It also does not react to normal PD medication (ie. Sinemet, etc). Anyone familiar

CR Sinemet & Sleep
Iāve recently started controlled release Sinemet at night to reduce morning dystonia. Iām finding my sleep is disrupted - much less deep sleep according to my sleep tracker, and feel fatigued and flat in the morning. Has anyone else had similar problems? Many thanks Ben

Sigh... šš„±š Hallucinations side effects from meds on top of neck & back pain affecting sleep schedule
This is very frustrating. Before starting any Parkinson meds this year, back pain (spinal stenosis but don't need surgery "do PT", insomnia and frequent urination (was told BPH) were my dad's only health issues. Healthy in every other aspect. Now, 2 months in, he has hallucinations as a side effect

Wondering if dad has RLS instead of PD (or both?). Any RLS indicators here?
Hi new to learning about RLS. My heart goes out to everyone dealing with this.
I'm reading a lot of comments about experiencing Augmentation from Mirapex/Dopamine Agonists or that if dopamine therapy doesn't work on you, you may not have PD. I've been wondering if my dad has RLS or something else

Sinemet vs. Rytary
Does anyone have experience with these? How does Sinemet perform vs. Rotary. Which do you prefer and why. My neurologist recommended the latter, but I'm not so sure that's the best choice. Would love your opinions.

What's in ER C/L vs. IR C/L?
We have tried using 25/100 ER in combo with 25/100 IR in an effort to increase time between doses and it consistently leads to negative symptoms that don't occur when I'm just taking the IR. Symtoms are mild headache, mild nausea, fatigue, my brain feels swollen and anxiety. It reminds me when I was

B1 Therapy question
Six months ago, my neurologist diagnosed me with early stage PD. My prominent symptoms included hand tremors and stiffness. I am on a low dosage of sinemet and it has helped to regulate but not eliminate those symptoms.. I was very intrigued by the testimonials in the book, Parkinson's and the B1

Long Covid
I have had RLS for decades and have had more help on this site from wonderful people than from any medical person. Currently I take Methadone 15 mg daily which gives me about 5 hours of broken sleep per night. I can live with it as its the best I have had for decades. I wonder if some Marijuana would

Sinemet and nausea.
I am forced to break my Sinemet 100+25 pill into two parts and to space out the intake for a few hours because a whole one causes me severe nausea. Does anyone out there have the same problem? And how did you solve it?

Anyone out there trying the Dr. Tass Vibratory therapy with a board or gloves?
Hello, I built a buzz board using an Arduino controller. I have been using it every day for about three weeks for about 1-2 hours a day. I have noticed some positive effects but donāt know where to start cutting my med (Sinemet). It seems I get more āTime onā, and even mental clarity, but it has

Thinning hair when taking Sinemet
My wife has PSP and has been taking Levadopa brand name Sinemet for nearly a year but currently on a low dosage. For many months her hair has been getting thinner and thinner. I have just been advised that this is a reasonably common side effect of taking the drugs. I also understand that if you come
