Continuous bad attacks
Just wondering if anyone can offer any advice/reassurance as I’ve got to the point where I’m just so fed up of my asthma. My attacks seem to have taken on a new pattern; years ago I’d be bad about every six months, then the pattern started to be about every month/couple of months (my hormones trigger

Asthma and Air Quality in Bangkok
I have chronic asthma (currently under control) and am wondering about the air quality in Bangkok. I see previous threads in 2010 but I'm wondering what it's like now in 2018. I currently live in Dallas, Texas and and we experience really hot days here.

I have emphysema but was treated for asthma. How can they tell if I have both or just emphysema.
Hi all. Basically I have been shown to have emphysema after a ct scan for a heart op. I already have a steroid inhaler and rescue inhaler given to me by my gp surgery for the last 3 years or so. What I want to know is can an asthma nurse be sure I have any asthma? I believe the reversibility test also

Asthma Triggers Cold
Why do people dismiss asthma triggers. Today I've had a very sore chest as was foggy very cold and damp. When mentioned this I got told it's stress. It must not be step 4 asthma obviously....😂

I just though that I would post, to give others hope and to prove that DLA can be awarded to someone with

Warning stage of the Heart Rate when you have asthma in all ages
I just wanted to ask, regardless the age of a person, what is the warning heart rate of an asthmatic person? Like we can warn them, to prevent asthma attacks.

Cortisol deficiency (Addison's??)
So for a long time I've had a problem jumping up too quickly and feeling faint and on occasion passing out... I got told it was postural hypotension and to get up slower and left it at that I started with what appeared be a return of asthma and was given a steroid Inhaler the fainting and some other

Difficult to diagnose and treat asthma, not VCD... 3rd asthma doctor needed
My primary care most recently wrote his assessment as “
severe
persistent reactive airway disease”. He didn’t even say
asthma
. Aren’t there more medicines and procedures to try for treatment? I’ve tried Flovent, QVar, Symbicort, Breo 100 and I am now on Breo 200.

Eosinophilic asthma blues
Guy's Hospital Specialist Asthma clinic have decided that the reason I've been feeling so bad is because I have a chest infection on top of the asthma, which has been rumbling on for the best part of a year. Antiobiotics (Doxycyclone) not working, so more sputum tests. I spent the morning in bed because

Feeling confused!
Hi, my asthma symptoms started to worsen about 3 weeks ago and I started using the Ventolin reliever inhaler more frequently. I went to the asthma nurse on Monday as things had got worse again and I was getting short of breath when walking so she prescribed me a 5-day course of steroids. I went back

Severe asthma attack but here to tell the tale
I’ve had the most scariest 48 hours of my life ! Last week I developed what I thought was a cold which rapidly made an impact on my secretions. I took a sputum year to the lab directly ( I’m a nurse so can do that ) and went home sick. Saw my gp on Friday who started me on co-amoxiclav as I had growing

Living with Severe Asthma
I was born 6 decades ago with an extremely
severe
form of
asthma
and have managed to survive much longer than any of my doctors thought I would. I'm also a retired Respiratory Therapist by profession, so I've been on both sides of a ventilator so to speak.
