First Follow Up on my Treatment in Australia
This is a duplicate of my APC post for my friends on FPC. You rock! I previously described my treatment plans for my oligometastatic (<4 sites, in my case 2 lymph nodes in pelvis and abdomen) With a two-stage approach: I explain this in somewhat more detail in my post "Why I Choose an Unproven Treatment

Home urine tests
I was wondering if there are any reliable home urine tests to measure creatinine and protein in urine. So hard to know if these are reliable and give good results. My urine just looks different after having covid. Thank you

Hi everyone? Its almost a month since I posted my CKD journey. My last lab test results on may 13 revealed a creatinine of 94.96umol and egfr of 83(the hospital uses the CKD-EPI equation (2009) without correcting for race.My A1C was 5.86. Did my Lab tests today where A1C decreased to 5.57 and creatinine

Lung transplant clinic appointment
Thankyou for all your good wishes. Well my first visit to Harefield was quite overwhelming. I only learnt as we were traveling down on Tuesday that I wld be having 'some' tests. Some! A lung function test, ecg, chest xray, blood pressure and sats, urine test and I couldn't count the number of vials

Could I have cirrhosis?
I am 28 years old. I have spider angiomas on my chest and palmar erythema on my hand. I used antipsychotic and antidepressant drugs for a long time. I have sometimes taken flu meds and roaccutane along with these meds. My doctor said it's nothing to worry about. But high direct bilirubin worries me.

Saline Infused Ultrasound for Menorrhagia
Just looking for a bit of advice. My PA (USA) is a bit quick and dismissive, so I end with appointments I don't really understand. I've had menorrhagia for 6 months (46yrs old) . Had an endometrial biopsy (normal), two vaginal ultrasounds (adenomyosis and an ovarian cyst), and now they think I might

Switch from Azithromycin to Doxycycline
Hi, I have severe asthma and pseudomonas infection for which I’ve been put back on Colomycin nebs following an infection that wouldn’t resolve, but did after I asked my GP if we could try a course of cipro (they didn’t try that first as sputum sample didn’t show pseudomonas). I’ve had to switch from

Tummy, Lower back - bladder?! Very anxious.
I have had issues recently with lower tummy pain 'widespread' and comes and goes with build up of gas and feeling at times of not being able to empty my bowels properly or suddenly having to go to the toilet with great urgency. Along with this I seem to have bladder complaints with feeling like on occasion

Hello - I was browsing through Facebook yesterday when I came across an article about c difficile. To say I have been frightened to death is an understatement. I have had a permanent uti from November 2021 and no antibiotic seems to clear it. If I catch c difficile it puts me in grave danger because

Another disappointment
Was told by my Dr.to go as soon as possible to get a urine test and more bloodwork. Can you believe I got there and he didn't call in the requisitions? He's off today. The only thing I did get was an antibiotic.Praying that helps. What negligence.

False Negative for Adderall
I know some of the posts I’ve seen are from 3 years ago or so and some more recent but apparently this issue is still a “thing”. I take 15mgs of Adderall 2x a day everyday and have never missed a dose. I am also on the Suboxone program (where I used to take (2) 8 mg films, then asked for the dose to

Update-1st infusion Lu -617
Hi all I promised some people a bit of a short outline of experience of 177Lu-167 therapy. Had 8.1 Gbq yesterday. Administered after saline solution, then half hour of Lu-617 followed by more saline. Throughout was sipping on lemon water to protect salivary glands. Only side effect so far is mild fatigue.Baseline

Lupus and renal involvement
I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2020 and am being treated by rheumatology and gastroenterology for 'mild' lupus characterised by joint pain, oral ulcers, fatigue etc etc. However, I have recently begun to think that in fact I may be in the early stages of renal involvement. My urine is frequently frothy

Lab work and no kidney damage
Hi - I found this community while looking for some answers. I recently had an eGFR of 55, and globulin in a 24 hour urine test (though total protein was still below 150). An ultrasound shows completely normal kidneys, no stones, no damage, etc. etc. Any insight as to why my serum creatinine would be
