Pregnancy first trimester
I'm one month pregnant and I use
seretide
inhaler. I have been worried if it will affect my baby. Please, anyone with such experience? Thank you.

Fostair
For years and years, probably just after launch in 1998, I was transferred from Becotide to
Seretide
. My asthma nurse has changed me to Fostair, saying it's very good, the particles are smaller and the majority that have gone on to Fostair have been really pleased with the results.

Seretide 500 not lasting long enough
Is it possible to take
Seretide
500 three times a day, or are they more likely to move me to another drug?

Unusual symptoms
Seretide
isn't working at all, nebs and rescue inhaler don't last very long (1 or 2 hours). Do you think these symptoms can match an asthma attack or could it be something else ?

Preventer still not working after a month
I use
seretide
with a spacer and I take 2 puffs in the morning and two others at night. So, could it mean that this drug has no effect on me and I should try another ? Or should I continue using it for a few more weeks ?

NEW MEMBER. ASTHMA AND A LOT OF DOUBTS
My treatment was:
Seretide
25/125 + ventolin on demand + singulair 4mg. Cetirizine in the case of alergic. I started
seretide
in 2011. But my problem is that usually I have a lot of mucus from my chest. I don't have cough, but I use to cough in order to expell the mucus when having a shower.

How fast can an attack come and go?
I take
Seretide
500 and Ventolin accuhalers. Manifestations of my asthma so far have been very textbook: coughing, tightness, shortness of breath, and whistly wheezing. A couple of days ago I was spraying bug-spray, something I’ve done thousands of times before.

Salbutamol inhalers and repeat prescriptions?
I consider it well managed even if I need to use my Ventolin inhaler on top of my preventative
Seretide
one almost on a daily basis. I have various triggers from both extremes of weather, exercise, dust, allergens and traffic pollution. Today I've attended an asthma review with a GP's nurse.

Mild COPD with Seretide 125
I have been put on
Seretide
125 twice a day and Salamol. I spoke to the BLF nurse and she said that, although unusual to be put on steroid medication for mild copd, I may be on that medication to see if I have any inflammation from allergies.

More Breathless
I have been taking the
Seretide
125 inhaler for 6 days now and I have a Salamol inhaler for when needed. I actually feel more out of breath than before I was diagnosed. I catch my breath when talking, I used to be able to walk for miles on the flat, now I am struggling with 20 mins.

More Positive
My breathing has definitely improved since I stopped the
Seretide
, so I will be discussing about a different preventer when I see the doctor on Monday. Have a good weekend everyone and if we are really lucky the sun might return 😀

Calmer
I had my first dose of
Seretide
last night, had a good night’s sleep and feel so much better this morning. In fact my chest definitely feels easier and my head ‘fog’ seems to have lifted (is it that quick or is it psychological?).

Can antihistamines help during an asthma flare up ?
Seretide
is still not working and Pulmicort seems to make my symptoms worse. My symptoms are currently a burning and itching sensation in my chest (it feels like my lungs are on fire as well as the trachea and even my nose sometimes!)

Long acting beta 2 agonists or inhaled steroids only ?
As I've mentionned, I'm currently taking
seretide
but I'm concerned about the potential side effects.

Foot cramp
I never had a problem until I was doubled up on my
Seretide
and even when I was changed to Fostair the cramps have continued. Before I make myself sound crazy at my appointment next week, I thought I’d ask in here. Thanks in advance!

Mast Cell Stabilisers
Not being able to tolerate steroids without very debilitating side effects, I'm still looking for something to add to the Uniphyllin 400 & Ventolin (plus just one small dose of
Seretide
50).

combisal versus seretide
Is anyone else finding that combisal is not as effective as
seretide
? I have been having lower peak flow readings with combisal. Also it is harder to press down so that the metered dose is not accurate.
