Steroid inhaler reduction
I've been on max dose
Seretide
250 i.e. 2 puffs twice a day. If no better on reducing to previous usual dose and have to go back up more regularly, what would happen then? Consider more pred. short course...?

Persistant Cough
My asthma has been fine up until recently where I have had a persistant cough and sometimes a rattly chest as well, my medication has been changed and I am now on
seretide
125 (2 puffs twice a day). It has improved my asthma, but it seems to get better and then worse again.

Aerochamber
After ending up on a neb today and still not good ,i was given a aerochamber to use with my
seretide
,blinking good job did it at home first and not on the train back as it made a noise like a air horn hahaha ! OMG would have crawled up my own ass if that happened.

Seretide and no voice
Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone else on
seretide
has experienced vocal problems. I've been on
seretide
about 3 yrs now and about 2 yrs ago I completely lost my voice for weeks. It started off really husky for a few months then I completely lost it.

Resp Cons.
In addition to salbutamol I am on Atrovent,
seretide
250, 20-30 mg Prednisolone (maintenance), Theophylline, montelukast and various allergy medications. I have had several A&E trips and I am frequently in the treatment room at my GP surgery using the nebuliser.

Just need some advice
Basically, I was on symbicort 200/6, saw GP, was changed to
Seretide
, then to beclomethasone with serevent, then back to symbicort but the 400/12. Was taking 2 puffs twice a day and for a bit, was ok, got worse again, so dr put me on singulair.

All these foreign medicines
I went into the clinic with dodgy lungs and sinuses earlier this week and got prescribed new medication (the doc said something about being newer, better and less fattening XD) Two most people already know - Symbicort (I thought that was a bit of a jump considering I'd recently come off

What to do now
I doubled my
Seretide
, and after one week needed Prednisolone. Days 3 and 4 of Pred I was in my local ED as was still tight and apparently had poor air entry. Luckily I responsed well to Salbutamol and Atrovent nebs and am now on antibiotics as ED felt I might have got a chest infection.

What else can I try - Now on 4th lot of Pred this year
I'm currently on
Seretide
125 (2 puffs twice daily) this didn't give full control so in September I started Montelukast. This helped reduce the variability in my peak flow!

PF worse in the evenings
Hi Guys After spending a while with my head in the clouds about asthma which has resulted in my already having 2 courses of Pred so far in August (and my 3rd course of 2010) I'm now getting to grips with taking my
Seretide
everyday and keeping a peak flow diary.

Should the pred have given me more improvement?
Have doubled up on
Seretide
(as advised by GP) I'm never keen on this due to the Salmeterol content and queried the advice as I thought you couldn't do this!

Doubling of inhaled steroids
The other problem I have is that since I am on
Seretide
, when I double, I'm also getting double Salmeterol which combined with the Salbutamol makes me feel horrid. What do other people do when they get exacerbations?

Unwell again!
Hi Everyone I know there are lots of knowledgable people on here so asking for some of your advice I have a history of not been terribly compliant with inhalers (
seretide
125 - 2 puffs AM and PM) However, I learned my lesson when I needed 2 courses of steroids in August and for whe whole of August

Not improving as much as I should
I'm still on double
Seretide
I am lots better but I'm still having some problems. I've got a productive cough, am still needing Salbutamol although I'm needing lots less and my peak flow has not returned to normal.

Stay on Seretide or switch to SMART
Hi everyone I'm currently using
Seretide
and have 250mcg twice daily. I'm also on Montelukast and only rarely needing the Salbutamol. So far I've not had any Steroids this year, have an exacerbation at the moment, but that is because I have a cold.

Rescue Prednisolone at home?
Hi I'm currently on
Seretide
(125) 2 puffs twice a day, Montelukast 10mg and Salbutamol when required. One of the worst triggers for me is getting colds. I've tried doubling the
Seretide
or just using a separate Flixotide inhaler to increase the steroid component but I still run into problems.
