Seretide and abdominal pain
Hiya peeps, Ever since my lad's been on seretide his asthma control has been brilliant but he has a constant belly-ache and his appetite has dipped. I think he may have lost weight too. I strongly suspect that it's the seretide and am goong to make an appointment with the resp nurse. I notice that it

SERETIDE and children under 4
Hi All I'm after some advice - Ollie's (he's 3) asthma is quite bad a moment - went to hosp yesterday and DR suggested changing him from Becotide to Seretide. I didn't think Seretide was licenced for children under 4 in UK (but am aware that consultants can give meds 'off licence'). He suggested

daughter with atypical asthma?
Can anyone relate please? My 16 year old daughter was diagnosed with asthma at 6 months old after a bad case of chicken pox. Her doctor at the time said she may have internal spots and scarring on the lungs (does this sound right?) Her symptoms became worse as she got older, and she has been under

No one else in the family has it and its been a real steep learning curve. Aswell as asthma he has hayfever( which i think

Is this normal?
My 10 yr old dd was seen by the doctor for a chest infection last friday. She's completed her amoxicillin and he'd given us the option of either taking her seretide 50 up to 3 puffs twice a day or to give four hourly ventolin. We went with the ventolin which she is still taking 4 hourly. On Monday

Nebs v Inhalers?!?!
My daughter is 3 years old and a brittle asthmatic - in the last 4 weeks we've needed 4 courses of pred and antibiotics! We've also had 4 hospital stays - on our second to last discharge the Dr suggested not to give my daughter 4 hourly nebs and swap over to inhalers instead as these are proven to be

Not sure how to proceed anymore
I have 4 year old twins and one of them has severe/difficult/brittle (every hospital has different names for it) asthma. She was diagnosed at 7 months old and she is unfortunately getting worse. She was admitted 14 times last year and that doesn't even begin to detail the number of times we have dealt

Found out today after a bit of research that my Slophyllin could be making my MD and tinnitus worse as Slophyllin is related to caffeine and caffeine is not good for MD and tinnitus and then rang the asthma nurse on here and we had a lovely chat about meds. I need the slophyllin for my Asthma and had

Guidance sought
Hi, My daughter has been diagnosed with asthma for the past 4 years. For 2 years she needed increasingly higher doses from the blue and brown inhalers. For the past 2 years she has used SERETIDE 125. Moving from 8 puffs a day down to 4. However, doctors and nurses are keen to lower this further, but

nebulisers for children
Just wondered when are nebulisers brought into the daily amanagement plan for children? My daughter (16mths) has had asthma for nearly a yr and is on Ventolin, seretide and Montelukast. Her consultant has swayed whether to prescribe a nebuliser for home but then changes his mind as he feels she should

So fed up and don't know what to do next......
After Molly's review a few weeks ago we started on the new regime but to no avail we had several terrible nights and then got a call from nursery who were very worried about her. Took her to docs who changed her on to Seretide and Cetirizine alongside salbutamol and montelukast. There was a few days

Strange Colour
Hi my daughter has brittle asthma and we went to the park today, we were there for just under an hour. She was fine until on the way home when she went so pale with a tinge of blue, she was very quiet and sleepy. We came home and she fell asleep in my arms. I then put her to bed where she slept for

daughter not improving on pred
Hi haven't posted for quite a while, but wondered if any other parents have had similar experience. My daughter who is 11 is on 125 seretide x2 twice a day and singulair. She had a cold a couple of weeks ago which resulted in the inevitable problems with her asthma. She has recently (Dec) had her inhaled

3 puffs of Seretide 50 twice a day??
My ten year old dd saw the doctor today for a chest infection. We have the usual Amoxicillin to take but he also said to take her Seretide 50 inhaler up to three puffs twice a day instead of her usual 2 puffs twice a day (via spacer). The leaflet in the pack doesn't mention 3 puffs even in a fully

Is this 'controlled'?
My daughter (16months) is currently on Seretide, Montelukast and Ventolin. She has been chest since Christmas and has had antibiotics for a chest infection and Pleuresy. She is coughing for England when she sleeps. Not at all during the day but DREADFUL at night and when she has a daytime nap! Would
