*waves* Hello!
Hello lovely people, just popped in to say Hi and catch up on how folk are doing. I've had a crap six months (had a keeling-over that resulted in a broken rib and then a prolapsed disc in my neck - 3 weeks in hosp, and weeks and weeks of agony, awful) but I'm now doing really well. My asthma is the

Another viral exacerbation
Hi Everyone I'm suffering another viral exacerbation of asthma. I absolutely cannot manage if I get a cold. I got the symptoms of a cold last Thursday and by Friday I was seeing the GP as an emergency. Peak flow down to around 270-300 so he started me on Prednisolone. However, I think there was some

Seretide 250/25
Just wondering what side effects others have had while on this medicine and how long you were taking it for? I do a lot of classical singing and am just worried about how it may affect my voice. Also, did it seem to help your symptoms? Thanks!

Changing to a cheaper inhaler
I have recently had a letter from my GP practise advising me that they are changing my inhaler from Seretide 250 to Flutiform. It actually states on the letter that they are changing it because Flutiform is cheaper. Seretide worked really well for me in controlling my asthma and I never had to use my

I take 2puffs of seretide twice a day. The canister contains 124 doses. I am sure I read somewhere that you should stop using the inhaler
When the counter shows only 20 doses left. I have looked at the instructions and I can't find any reference to this. It seems such a waste to throw it away if there is medication left

RECURRENT CHEST INFECTIONS Hello. I'm not sure if anyone can help me?
I'm 28, I have asthma and allergies and have had these since I was in primary school. I've lived with these for years but for the last 10 years I've also had recurrent chest infections, some years more infections than others but always 3 or more. To be honest I'm never entirely sure if an infection has

Anybody out there using INDACATEROL ? How are you doing on it ?
After starting to use seretide 500 recently twice a day, my GP has told me to stop using my indacaterol (300mg). I still take my Spiriva once a day. I was against using the seretide because of the steroids, but my Oxygen has dropped to 88 resting over the last 2 months, so I thought I might give it a

Serevent and sinus problems
About 5-6 years ago I was taken off Ventolin and Becotide and put on Seretide inhaler. Generally it has worked very well and only use the inhaler now once in the morning and once at night BUT ever since changing I've had terrible sinus problems and can hardly breath through my nose at all sometimes.

Stinging muscles
Does anyone experience a stinging sensation in arm and leg muscles in bed. I take ventolin, spiriva and seretide. Could it be the inhalers or perhaps lack of oxygen?

Ventolin use.
Hi, I've just recently been diagnosed with asthma. My doctor put me on Flixotide and Ventolin to start with but needed to keep upping the strength as we weren't achieving the hoped for results. Recently, my doctor changed me over to Seretide and Ventolin and I've definitely seen an improvement as I was

Was wondering. Now I've stopped smoking do I really need to continue taking my pumps for COPD?
I use atrovent and seretide pumps. I'm moderate COPD with lung age of 76 years. Not sure where asthma ends and COPD starts to be honest but My asthma/COPD is present everyday but not as bad as when I smoked. I can live with it without pumps. Do I need to take my pumps still?

Morning dip in peak flow + symptoms
Does anyone here have issues with morning dips in their peak flow, that coincide with coughing/wheezing fits? I've had asthma for nearly 2 years now, I started out just using Ventolin and was diagnosed based on wheezing, coughing fits and massive variations in my morning and night peak flow... Since

Seretide - Weight Gain
Hi All Following diagnosis I have been prescribed seretide 125 inhaler 2 puffs twice a day. I have been on seretide for 6 weeks and the medication has certainly improved my breathing. The more worrying thing for me is the weight gain, I have put on 3 kilos during this period of time (6.5 1lbs). Is this

Flutiform - adding another steroid inhaler
I've been taking Flutiform 125/5 for about a month and I am really loving it. I switched from Symbicort to flutiform because Symbicort caused paradoxical bronchospasm, because it was a dry powder inhaler but one thing that I am struggling with, if when my asthma flares, I can't increase Flutiform like
