Aspergillus?
In all the hubbub the original cause of the cough seems to elude the doctors, the mention of fungal infections has prompted prescription of antibiotics and
salbutamol
but no interest in testing for fungal infections.

Help so fed up...
On my second lot of steroids and using
salbutamol
as needed. They want to carry out lung function tests in the next two weeks & see asthma nurse with the results, as there is a suspicion this is adult onset asthma. I am shattered most of the time with a full time job and young family.

Running with asthma?
I have been taking a blue inhaler (
salbutamol
) before running (10 mins, 2 puffs) and after running (2 puffs) and I've generally felt better although I've been getting coughing attacks at times during exercise and dizzy once during a 20-minute run.

Peak flow good but SpO2 at 94?
At this point I have become quite anxious because I'm using prednisone and oral
salbutamol
to control it and my SpO2 reading is still at 94-95, occasionally dipping to 93. Anxiety gets mixed in an I don't know if I'm actually not breathing or if it's the anxiety. Is it safe to be at this level?

Unsure of how to approach GP
Given that I have barely used it for a month or so and am only using my
salbutamol
a few times a week, I think I'd like to step down to beclametasone, but this is the tie of year when I'm best and I know that that is not strong enough for the winter.

Wheezy and tight. Stupid asthma 😕
PEFR down to 50% after
salbutamol
via spacer. Do I stick it out and wait for it to pass? Sorry I'm tired and bit emotional.

Alternative to symbicort?
I've had asthma for over ten years controlled mainly by using
salbutamol
and clenil plus antihistamines , but this summer it has been much worse because of the high pollen levels. My GP gave me a short course of oral steroids and then changed the clenil to symbicort turbo inhaler 200/6.

Adding combivent for prolonged asthma flare
Hi all. New here to the group. I was recently prescribed combivent as an additional inhaler in my arsenal after a wheezing flare that has lasted over 4 weeks. I'm currently taking proair, symbicort and prednisone 20mg twice a day. I'll be finished up with the prednisone in a few days. I also had a steriod

14 Chest Infections!
Initially it started off with asthma symptoms which gradually got worse to the point I was dependent on the blue
salbutamol
inhaler and prescribed Clenil by the GP Since then I've had 14 chest infections. I send away weekly sputum and every time it comes back positive.

Bisopropol Fumarate and Ventolin Evohaler (salbutamol) possible warning
While I was in hospital the Consultants mentioned that there was an issue with betablockers and
salbutamol
inhalers causing problems with heart rates and I have since googled this and it does appear to be an absolute no-no.

Bit Clueless...
Dr gave me steroids/
salbutamol
inhaler and said it could just be the virus but my chest is clear and it could be asthma. She wanted me to start steroids last night - I feel better today for sure but wondered how long steroids take to calm everything down as still coughing/full of mucous (yuk!).

I also use

, montekeukast for allergies and cetirizine for rhintis. Those last few dont cause me any problems.

GP tomorrow and very confused
I have a home nebuliser, relvar ellipta
salbutamol
fexofenadine zafirlukast omeprazole and ranetidine and epipen. In the last few years I've been pretty much constantly off and on prednisolone. My own GP wanted me to try steroid injection to get better control and avoid the tablets.

Can't exercise
If it's my asthma I feel tight chested, start coughing, get an itchy feeling inside my lungs and in my teeth (random) and it's relieved with
salbutamol
. Other times I'm just out of breath, it takes me a long time to recover breathing normally and it doesn't respond to
salbutamol
.
