Exacerbation of asthma
My asthma has been really controlled to the point of only needing a salbutamol inhaler from the age of about 8 till 2 months ago. I ended up having to ring 999 and having back to back nebulisers. I've been started on an inhaler with budesonide formoterol and fumarayr dihydrate. I'm still having symptoms

Running induced asthma
Hi, Any advice on tackling ria please. My wife starts coughing & wheezing a few minutes into running. Doctor prescribed a ventolin salbutamol inhaler, which doesn't seem to help, shouldn't it be an albuterol or cromolyn sodium inhaler?

Air purifiers. Are they any good?
Ive had asthma for over 30 years controlled most of time with symbicort salbutamol montelucast etc. I'm using my nebuliser more often as bad bouts of extreme tightness are more frequent. This latest spell of high pollen has really knocked me for 6 with another 10 days of prednisalone. I am fine with

Liver Transplant Recipient, Conditions due to Prescriptions?
I had a liver transplant March 2015. Within a few weeks I was suffering from weakness, strong headaches, feeling "hung over", confusion, some shortness of breath. I discussed these conditions with my medical teams time and again with no relief. My wife felt that my symptoms were a result of prescriptions

Prednisone and lung disease
Hi all. I am new here. I am a full time caregiver for my mom who is in her 80s and has COPD and fibrosis. She recently started a tapering dose of prednisone for a rheumatoid arthritis flare. Since then I have noticed that she is having greater difficulty breathing with activity although her oxygen levels

Question for those on flecainide who also use asthma pumps
Is anyone who is taking flecainide to control a-fib also using an asthma pump? Specifically I am looking for people using a beta agonist (salbutomol)? Have you experienced any difference in your asthma pre flecainide compared to post flecainide? I am Ipratropium Bromide (brand is ipvent) and find it

How to Get Mucus out of lungs?
I have had chronic bronchitis for years, and I have used Spiriva Handihaler and Albuterol, but even with my insurance I only get them now and then. I have so much mucus in my lungs and it never comes up. I wheeze etc when I exhale. I wonder if there are some ways to get the mucus up. Coughing does

Rescue before controller?
I went to my doctor who said that (while changing medications) he couldn't give me a dose of symbicort because he gave me a dose of albuterol. Is this true, or, is he just overly cautious?
