COPD/Emphysema

Please may I ask you good folk about your experience in the use of Prednisolone. I have copd/emphysema. Eighteen months since diagnosis, following infection/hospital fifteen days. Mostly treated with nebuliser routine, four hourly. Left with the first course of Preds. Have been prescribed eight times since, varying length of course.

Most recently, after visit to chest clinic plus consultation told any further intake should not exceed one week and at 30mg daily. Am on day six of this regime-& am as was a week ago.

Peak flow-100 to 130ish. Saturation hanging around 93/4%.

Inhalers: Emlira at twice a day and Spiromax 2x2 per day+ Salbutamol :- 4x4 daily plus as required.

Hi Ian_D , posting on a weekend can be a bit hit and miss as to whether you get a quick reply. I don't use Prednisolone myself but you could try searching for it using the little magnifying glass at the top right of the screen. It should list all posts that mention it. You may find something of interest there.
