Had my first fight with the running machine last night :-)
There I was running away quite happily when I needed to blow my nose for what seemed like the 10th time (really must try and get on top of this
rhinitis
thing), so I'm rummaging in my pockets to get a tissue when I must have misplaced my foot.......

Anyone else get hot sweats from over exerting themselves??
Just wondered if sweats were a typical reaction to doing a lil bit too much hehe I would like to be fully armed with lots of questions to ask the Doc when I get an appointment after the test, but cos I've got an underactive thyroid, am menopausal taking anti-depressants and have perennial

Today was the first time I've experienced the 'runner's high'
From what I've read, the 'runner's high' is quite uncommon and most likely experienced during, or after, an endurance event, but can also occur when pushing yourself almost to the point of collapse in a short, intense effort, such as running a 5km run. That's what I did today. I did a quick tempo

I have had Parkinsons for about 8 years and have always had problems with

Neti Pot - Nasal cleansing for Sjogren's, dry nose, allergic rhinitis, sinus problems, colds.
I can say for allergic
rhinitis
and all sort of cold/flu related nose problems, that it helps tremendously. I get addicted very easily to nose drops and they don't help for more than 1-2 days. I avoid antihistamines and only get relief with this. Anybody tried it?

Ventolin vs Salamol
I have just been prescribed Salamol inhalers rather than my usual Ventolin. I'm still getting used to the switch and at the moment I miss my old Ventolins but some observations: -The canister of the inhaler is smaller. At first I thought somebody was palming me off with half-sized medication. -The

Don't always blame it on Gluten: Does anyone have a soya lecithin allergy / reaction?
Often people also have allergic
rhinitis
type symptoms. If you react to soya lecithin you may also react to other members of the legume family like: fresh and dried peas, beans, carob, liquorice (often not GF) and peanuts.

Allergies, Intolerances and Autoimmune Diseases
For myself as a child, allergies meant allergic
rhinitis
- streaming eyes, runny nose, and atopic reactions (rashes, usually itchy) to almost everything it seemed. My bedroom floor was regularly hoovered, as were the curtains and the bedding was washed every few days.
