Antihistamine options?
Hi all, my son has been on an antihistamine for a couple for months now for chronic
rhinitis
and they were working a treat. However the last few weeks, it's all come back and it's triggering his asthma a bit. I'm suspecting it's hayfever starting up.

He has chronic

Where do we go from here?
My son is almost 4 years old and we have been trying to get his asthma under control for over a year now. We have tried the salamol and beclatide inhalers, oral steriods and just recently singulair, but nothing seems to help. He still has a persistent cough, is wheezy and tired all the time. Does anyone

Asthma and Spa resorts
I've read an article in an Italian magazine that mineral water in spa and inhalations help to alleviate
rhinitis
, bronchitis and asthma. I am a bit wary though, please get in touch if you've ever tried it. Susan

Ibruprofen and Aspirin
I'm loath to give her any of it to be honest because it's full of E numbers that the leaflet warns could make her asthma and her
rhinitis
worse. There is also a lot of mention on the leaflet about aspirin and not to take it if you are allergic to aspirin.

Sinus Problems
I have sinusitis and perennial
rhinitis
, and often i have periods where i have a constant and very painful sinus ache. I have steroid nasal spray and antihistamines, as well as paraceptomol on top of that, and nothing seems to work. I have also tried steam, but that doenst really work at all.

New to Salamol
Hello, I've just started taking Salamol for the back end of a chest infection that seems to have reactivated my asthma after it has been dormant for several years. I think I'm getting side effects - faintness - especially when standing still for a few moments, numb hands and feet, sore head. But this

Rhinitis - Sinusitis - Post-Nasal Drip - Who 'Nose' ?!
I thought I'd see if I can start a thread just on
rhinitis
becasue I am sure that if I could master it I wouldn't have such a problem with asthma!

Handihaler and asthma
It's still this now on the Seretide and I'm still getting problems each winter, I also have a nasonex spray for
Rhinitis
. The doc reckons this is the right preventer for me and when I asked about trying the Symbicort Smart inhalers, I was firmly dissuaded from the idea.

WANTED - INHALER PROTECTOR CASE FOR SILLY SALAMOL RELIEVER!!
Hi Basically that says it all. I am not prescribed the decent sized ventolin puffers which fit perfectly in these cool cases but rather CFC something or rather salamol puffers which are small and awkward when trying to buy sports protector cases for. I did buy a puffa pouch which is cool but too big.

Indoor Allergens
Although most studies investigate asthma (because it is common and can be measured objectively), sensitivity to indoor allergens is also very common among patients with other allergic conditions such as chronic
rhinitis
and atopic dermatitis.

Twizzle's Transcriptions...
A brisk walk for about 2 miles is not my best temporary remedy for
rhinitis
but it helps (My best one is a day by the coast, but when the weather is agreeable), and so I leave the house to go for it!

Salamol - shakes, heart racing
Hi Ive had asthma pretty much as long as I can remember. I take salamol and beclazone easi-breathe inhalers. Though in truth I know I probably dont take them as much as I should. But the main reason I hate taking them is because when I take the salamol I end up shaking loads and feeling like my heart

Fed Up With Doctors Attitude
I also have
rhinitis
& hay fever, which I'm sure has a connection to my asthma. I've tried repeatedly to get all these things sorted, without much satisfaction. I'm sure they think of me as a hypochondriac!
