RLS after stopping citalopram
Hi there, In May, I decided to wean myself of 40mg citalopram which I had been taking almost continuously for 18 years. I did this with the support of my GP. Along with some other horrible withdrawal symptoms, I started with restless legs towards in July. I’ve had this on and off over my life, and

Hydrocodone not working anymore
I will be seeing my GP this month, hydrocodone has stopped working after 14 years. I'm debating on gabapentin or methadone? I was on gabba years ago,it ruined my gallbladder and had to get it removed. How have any of you using either of these meds helped with your rls? I don't know which one would be

Coming off Ropinirole for Restless Legs - it's tough
It is nearly 2 weeks since I dropped from 3mg/day to 2mg/day of Ropinirole prolonged release and it is tough. I have started to use 15 - 30mg/day of codeine in the form of Cocodamol to allow me get some sleep. I am hoping that this will only be temporary. I still have 6 weeks to go before I taper to

Different brands, different results
I was taking 10mg of methadone for about a year and it pretty well controlled my RLS. However, my pharmacy switched brands recently and soon my RLS was waking me up 3-4 times a night and I had to do lots of walking, massage, eating, reading etc. to get back to sleep. I was unsure of the connection

Buprenorphine and depression versus Suboxone
I have been on Buprenorphine for a couple of months at 0.4 mcg. It mainly controls my rls. I have been suffering from depression virtually since I started this. Never suffered before in my life. I came off Pramipexole in May and had a very traumatic time before I started Buprenorphine. Could it be

methadone and depression
hi, I have been taking methadone for 7 months now . I am on 10 mg and still have breakthrough RLS symptoms. I have been debating further increasing my dose to 12.5 mg but am worried about the depression that I feel is creeping in. I am considering asking my GP if I can switch to suboxone, and am interested

please advise
I need help for my husband. I’ve been here before. He started taking methadone and it seems the combination of that and the horizant is causing side effects such as panic attacks, feels like he can’t breathe when he lays down and can’t sleep. Sue - please advise. 🙏

Worsening of RLS with baclofen
Hi, I am taking methadone and started taking baclofen to see if it would help me better control my RLS symptoms, which were very intense. From the beginning I felt like it wasn't helping me much, my seizures got worse and I had a lot of side effects. When we decided to double the dose, to 20mg per day

Anyone treated RLS with progesterone?
Hi, I wondered if anyone had had any success with treating RLS with hormones? My RLS got MUCH worse when I took HRT and I also had bad RLS during pregnancy so I'm wondering if it's my hormones? Has anyone been able to get a hormone test then improve symptoms with progesterone? I think my RLS gets worse

Ferritin concern
My Ferritin level is 126. I thought this was triggering my severe RLS since I had a total knee replacement in November , 2023. My RLS is off the rail . I want an Iron infusion, but the health group I belong to, does not believe I need this? I am traveling the next 2 months, will take Sinemet to use on

I have severe RLS and I have had 2 at home sleep studies done. I was taking methadone when I had the first one done and it said I had mild obstructive sleep apnea. 2 questions- Does buprenorphine give you insomnia?! Also what’s the best type to ask for?
one of my biggest problems is insomnia. Is rls and insomnia one in the same? which came first the rls or the insomnia? No idea. Sometimes I wake and then the legs start, sometimes the legs wake me up. so if I was given buprenorphine would I still have the insomnia/make it worse? Because that’s as

Medication in the UK
Hi, As per RLS posts I have finally got around to requesting a ferritin level check, full iron panel from my GP in the UK. I also have changed from ropinirole to pramipexole and because that change didn't work the GP has said to double the dose of pramipexole being taken, which I will do as desperate
