Selegiline run out
I was on Selegiline first but it didn't help my symptoms much so I have been taking Selegiline and
Requip
4mg (Ropinirole) for about a year and Parkinsons Dr (in November '22) thought I could maybe stop Selegiline and just take Ropinirole but it was decided to leave for a few months probably till February

Ropinirole ( Requip) Ontario Parkinson's
I have Parkinsons and I have been using Ropinirole also known as
Requip
for about 13 years. It is an Agonist , that helps the effects of Levadopa last longer. I also have been using Amantadine for the same thing but its effectiveness may have worn off.

Thanks
I am aware of most of your significant points but it is reassuring to know I am on the right track to look at eliminating
Requip
along with other adjustments. I have a history of inflammation and compromised immunity system so this makes a lot of sense.

Severe RLS for 40 years
I have been prescribed
Requip
until it didnt work, Pramipexole (Mirapex) up to 4 mg daily and worked great until augmentation. Since then I have been on Klonopin, Pregablin (Lyrica) Carbidopa/Levidopa, medicinal Marijuana vape pen, to either slight or no relief.

Struggling with RLS relief
Primary Doc. prescribed Ropinirole (
Requip
). Some relief but concerned about long term. Also, it is causing numbness and muscle weakness. Any suggestions?

Iron Infustion Studies
Now that my ferritin is 78, I can get significant relief with a mix of Lyrica (Pregabalin) and
Requip
(Ropinerole)- which I take about 4 pm and again at 8 pm..... and sometimes a 3rd time at 4 am.

augmentation on neupro+Gabapentin. should I switch to a different dopamine agonist? All that’s helping is cannabis.
Would it be worthwhile to try shifting to
Requip
(ropinirole) ER? I read it’s a 24hr release pill. Aside from the augmentation, with my new insurance Neupro is very expensive: $700+ for 90 2mg patches. I cut them in half to save money vs 1mg patches but still, $700+.

Suffered since childhood
I've been able to manage (pain and discomfort) RLS a couple different ways..In the beginning I used
requip
and Ultram until Ultram because a so called problem drug(I never had any issues with it) I used it for a couple of years before
requip
became available and then used in conjunction with
requip
.

My new provider, albeit fairly young, is still old-school, and the two previous docs whom I saw in my previous practice were old and also old-school (

recommendations for high cholesterol med please
For RLS I'm now on gabapentin (100mg) and .5mg
requip
(need to transition off). My RLS is the best it's been in years! However, my doc wants me to continue to take the pravastatin (80mg) for the high cholesterol. Will the statin aggravate my RLS?

Withdrawal from Requip!
Approximately how long does it take to be rid of rls after going off
requip
? My last dose was Christmas eve. I no longer have daytime augmentation. Long car rides were only problematic at night. Im current taking 1800mg gabapentin. .had to take an extra 600mg tonight.

The answer I received from my concern about the treatments on the RLS Foundation website
Naturally I went out there and was quite disturbed about a number of things I found , but the link under Resources --> Symptoms and Diagnosis leads to the RLS Foundation site where under Treatment --> Medications it says "the FDA has approved 4 medicines to treat RLS - Ropinirole (
Requip
), pramipexole

Sleep study in one month
I am
Requip

Requip
for 18 months. My day time aumentation is completely gone. I am not taking any meds other than Gabepintin 300 mg around 7/8 pm and then 600 mg 1 or 2 hours before bed. I am handling ok, getting about 4/5 hours sleep a night.

Night 11 without Requip, best sleep yet
I don't want to get too excited but I haven't slept over 5 hours in a couple of months since reducing DA meds (
Requip
down to 1/4 and then 0). I am trying a later bed time 10:30/11 instead of 9 pm. I have always gone to be early and gotten up early even though we are retired.

final days of Requip
I only took 1mg of
Requip
for a couple of years. Doctor said I could take 2-1 mg a day. Something told me not to do it so I only seldom took over the 1 mg. Recently I did take 1/2 because of taking care of a family member and her dementia didn't allow her to understand me walking around.
