I am reducing down my Requip intake. I have reduced from 2 x 2mg Requip slow release to 1 x 2mg per day. To go lower I have asked my neurologist to prescribe the quick release Requip which come in 0.25mg format. He has but he has put me on 0.75mg of quick release Requip per day.

This group has offered excellent advise to me before as I transition from Requip. A year ago, I was on 1/2 mg requip every 12 hours which worked until recently. Now my dr. has increased my gaba to 400 mg. at bedtime while still on requip. I recently heard a presentation on augmentation from Dr.

I had a fair night the next night, readjusted the timeframe I took the Requip and BOOM…no RLS! I was wakeful, but no leg problems. Not looking forward to the next step down, but I’m “in it to win it”! Oh, no augmentation from the Requip seems to be present now.

I had also test Requip and It didn't work. What is the next step?

I only started this last weds (3rd day) I know I have to tirad the requip down as I go up on the gabba,but,how do I go about this?

My doctor wants to switch me from requip and gabapentin to pregabalin, but weight gain is a huge issue for me.

On the past, Pregabalin , Lyrica, Requip didn't help. For now only Neupro help. Should I accept to continue on Neupro with opinoids? Also my sympthoms are worse on Summers Seasons, I don't understand why. I have benefits with reduced carbohydrates, but still have problems with RLS.

I take 1800 mg gabapentin and am weaning off of Requip. I just saw my neurologist who has prescribed gabapentin and requip for me. However, now he says that I have Akathisia which makes no sense.

Ragastaline, Amantadine, Requip, and now dr ordered GoCovri- waiting for that to come. Nothing has worked at all so far & the side effects were terrible. Sleep was HORRIBLE on Requip- insomnia, worsened nightmares. His dr doesn’t seem to have any other answers other than… new medication.

I am now taking 1800 mg a day as well as 4 mg of requip. I am almost through weaning off requip because of augmentation. But, on the advice of a neurologist that I no longer see, I started CBD gummies and CBD oil. So, I am wondering if that is an ok combination. Gabapentin and CBD?

In the begining the disease was under control with the help of usual medecines (Rivotril, Sinemet, Requip, Gabapentine....commercial names maybe differents in the USA.)

I have weaned off Requip, but I am still not sleeping , only 2 hours last night. I am so very weary and find that I have little hope for any help unless I find information on my own. Thanks as always for the support from this group.

Why can't I take requip and Lyrica together? All the doctor tells me is that they don't go together and the pharmacy says the same thing

After trying natural remedies with no success, I went to a doctor about my RLS and was prescribed a medicine called Requip. I took Requip for several years, but it made be sick. My doctor at the time said, it shouldn’t make me sick.

I was on Requip for years always inching up in the dose as I went. It really didn’t stop the pain or movements. Then I had a blast of some kind of mental dysfunction and I began to gamble. I gambled away $200,000.00 of my retirement money. I also acted different. More than one person told me that.

I have been taking gabapentin and requip for restless legs for several years. I would like to wean off the 4 mg Requip. How do I do that safely?

Hi all, I'm reaching out specifically to those who have lived with Parkinson's disease for over 10 years and have decided to discontinue dopamine agonists (Mirapex, Requip, Neupro) due to severe side effects.

Went to sleep MD and he just started with scripting meds….Gabapentin, Pregabalin, Busibar, Doxepin, Requip, Lunesta. None of these really worked…Requip kinda did but then it did not. So I am currently taking a Magnesium Complex and 1mg Lunesta.
