I was told recently by my pharmacist they couldn't get any Selegiline and to ask my GP for an alternative. I still have 60 10mg tablets left and will have to inform GP soon. (I'm still waiting on my first appointment with neurologist in my new location, been waiting months as unfortunately I had to cancel an appointment or I'd be in touch with them). I'm in London UK. Has anyone been faced with the same problem?I was on Selegiline first but it didn't help my symptoms much so I have been taking Selegiline and Requip 4mg (Ropinirole) for about a year and Parkinsons Dr (in November '22) thought I could maybe stop Selegiline and just take Ropinirole but it was decided to leave for a few months probably till February but its been much longer now I've moved, so no decision has been made yet. Till then I'll take both but now can't get selegiline. Any thoughts?

Selegiline run out
This article suggests that selegiline MAY be back in stock sometime in mid August. parkinsons.org.uk/news/sele...
have you tried Amazon? They are starting an online pharmacy, at least in US
As I understand it, Rasageline is the successor to selegaline. And for good reason. I was on R for a while and my neuro suggested S for the sake of the amphetamine when I complained of low energy. "Hmm, YOU might be one of the folks who responds well to Selegaline, the old version.... How's the constipation been?" "Fine," says me.
I gave it 4 weeks. Couldn't handle the constipation. Back on the RAZ.
Yes, Rasagaline. It's very similar to Selegiline. They are both MAO-B inhibitors. The difference is their breakdown products.
In my veterinary practice I prescribed Rasagaline for dogs who bark all night. It comes as a liver-flavored chewie. Yes I tried it and no, I didn't enjoy the taste.
Thanks for all the replies I'll wait a few weeks since I've not run out yet then contact my GP or maybe I'll receive an appointment with my new neurologist before that, or the tablets may even be back in stock by then.
