Cirrhosis diagnosis
I have recently been diagnosed with cirrhosis following abnormal blood test and fibroscan. I am a non drinker, with a BMI 22.3. The specialist says I am one of the 5-7% of people with a fatty liver but not over weight and probably hereditary. This has come as a shock. I only had a blood test because

ADT yes or no
My urologist has recommended ADT treatment followed by radiation. I am concerned about the ADT because of the side effects. What are the risks with radiation without ADT?

Orgovyx + Abiaterone?
I have very high risk prostate cancer (Gleason 9, negative PSMA for spread, MRI suggests possible spread to seminal vessel, PSA in 7s before treatment). Due to cardiac history (stroke and heart attack) MO is being cautious and has started dosing Eligard at 1 Month intervals to make sure I am doing ok

Shoud I be concerned with my PSA rising from .79 to 1.01 in about 10 months?
Diagnosed with prostate cancer in August'18 with PSA of 7.84, Greason score of 7 (4+3) before being treated with SBRT without ADT at UCLA in October'18. Reached nadir at .79 after 4.5 years after SBRT treatment. My latest PSA number as of 01/12/24 is 1.01 as compared to 0.93 (10/16/23), 0.93 (07

Cribiform Prostate Cancer
I have some findings of cribiform cancer in my cancer biopsy. I will start treatment with ADT this mnonth and SBRT in April, 2024. Cribiform cancer in the literature is associated with significantly worse outcomes. Does anyone have experience with this?

How to monitor PCa after you stop ADT?
I've been on Zoladex implants for coming up to 4 years in February. I plan to stop ADT next time when it's due, as my PSA is always "undetectable" and it's been 4 years of physical and mental torment for me (the side effects). I think that enough is enough now. Does anyone have advice on the best ways

Side effects of Relvar Ellipta?
Hi, I have been on Relvar Ellipta for, I think, four years now. It works well to control my asthma, but I wonder if anybody has got any side effects from this medicine? Apart from asthma, I have problems with a heart valve (Mitral), and I am hormone treatment for prostate cancer, and also I take Budesonide

How soon after taking 4 month eligard shot can you switch to firmagon?
I started my hormone treatment with firmagon + apalutamide beginning 2023. The treatment worked fantastic and all my pain faded away and my psa dropped from 350 to .09 over 11 months. My life was as near normal as can be expected with cancer. Almost immediately my MO was recomending to switch to 4

Bad test news - questions to ask doctor
I knew my husband had AF following an EKG prior to surgery in 2012. He was a college athlete and only health issues have been hip and knee replacements. They tried to shock him out of AF but it was unsuccessful. He was put on Xarelto 20 mg. He has always been asymptomatic and I was naive since he

Regurgitation
Hello. So I posted a while ago about having ventricular bigeminy and that I was having a private echo done. A&E, my GP and my cardiologist said to not have it because my heart structure won't change in 7 months. I got my report back today and it turns I have pulmonary, mitral and tricuspid regurgitation

The Dark Time Came Again: Dealing with MDD and ECT/TMS Decision
I have been well for a while, but recently, my depression hit again like it hasn't hit for some time. My doctor is suggesting either TMS or ECT, as my medicine is not working as well as I would want. I have a dual diagnosis of bipolar disorder and borderline, and I have been seeing doctors since college

Any Data or MO Advice Regarding Dutasteride / Finasteride At Very Early Biochemical Recurrence?
Does anyone know of any studies or MO advice they've gotten regarding use of Dutasteride or Finasteride at very early signs of Biochemical Reccurrence (uPSA in the 0.03 - 0.1 range) prior to Salvage Radiotherapy? It's obviously going to slow PSA doubling time and thereby probably lengthen the time
