Update on my father
I just wanted to post a quick update on my father. He has metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer. He’s been on ADT - Eligard shots every 3 months and prednisone + zytiga everyday. It’s challenging as I work with him and see all the ins and outs of his behaviour while on those meds. He remains

Met with Radiation Oncologist
Met with radiation oncologist today. His recommendation was Cyberknife, no ADT. He did say that if I felt more comfortable with surgery that there was an "amazing" surgeon within 100 miles that he would recommend. I liked the guy, he has been doing Cyberknife for years and felt that with a co-existing

Firmagon vs Lupron vs Orgovyxx
Is there any difference in cost/effectiveness? My urologist wanted me to start hormone therapy with Firmagon, but my radiation oncologist wanted me to go on Orgovyxx instead...any thoughts? Thank you!

Bio Feedback
Has anyone had success with biofeedback? Our son is 13 and had dyspraxia, he can't locate his pelvic floor so as to engage the sensors at the hospital. Anyone have any suggestions on what we could do? We have 5 more sessions (4 hour round trip plus appointment) so it would be good to try and make

Morphea treatment - PUVA or triamcinolone injections?
hello, looking for a bit of advice as I was diagnosed with Morphea a few months ago. I’m under the care of dermatology department. It affects my whole left arm, part of my rib cage and some of my right arm. The worst area is around my left wrist where the skin is particularly tight around the joint

Revisiting Intermittent Therapy in Metastatic Prostate Cancer
The A-Dream Phase 2 trial is taking a second look at intermittent therapy for mHSPCa. In the study they hope to answer the question 1. Can intermittent therapy (a break from treatment) for high responders (PSA < .2 over 18-24 mos) on ADT+ARPi be more effective than continuous ADT (the current standard

Thyroid and HRT?
Hi everyone - sorry for the long post!! I was diagnosed as underactive over 15 years ago (autoimmune) and, as consultant originally explained, I needed to increase levothyroxin dose over the years. For the past few years I've managed reasonably well on 175mcg in winter and 150mcg in summer. I started

My thyroid seems worse with every dose increase.
I could not take levo/synthroid..It made me feel too bad. One time on synthroid I had good numbers still felt awful. I switched to armor. It seems the dose will make me feel good for about a month...then I start getting worse and worse..The next month they check my thyroid numbers and they are higher

Can you reject GNRH analogues? Consequences? Please help.
Hi there, I'm going in for my second Endo surgery next week, 9cm endometrioma, and the MRI showed a few other lesions. My last surgery was 6 years ago, and they removed a 16m endometrioma. The surgeon called last week in response to some questions I had and made an offhand remark about having a shot
