I see from your profile that you are on zytiga, so you must also be taking prednisone. It is likely the prednisone causing the belly extension, a very common result that is hard to avoid. Stay as fit as you can and watch your diet. Certainly talk to your doc to make sure nothing else is causing it but I’m betting on prednisone.

Have an appt on Friday. I will ask. Asking about switching to Nubeqa as well. No pred with that.

Be aware that you cannot just stop taking prednisone cold turkey. The doc will have to provide a protocol for gradual reduction. In some cases, people need to remain on it even after the drug that originally required it is no longer being taken. Hopefully, the protocol does the trick if you make a switch. But if the zytiga is working, why make a change?

There are less SE's with Nubeqa. Like the distended belly. Been on abi for a long time and would like a change.

ADT alone generally causes an increase in belly fat and often some degree of gyno due to the suppression of testosterone. Diet and exercise are the best way to combat it.

I am a thin guy - 5'9" and 135 lbs. I don't believe I have belly fat. I can only pinch a small amount of fat.
