Subclinical hypothyroidism and IVF
Hi, We’ve had 1 round of IVF/ICSI which we were referred for due to my partner’s low sperm count. Our first embryo transfer was unsuccessful but we have another one frozen. The clinic asked me to get my Vit D and thyroid levels tested by the GP before FET. I asked the GP for a print out of the results

Up to 150 Levo
Hi, i am now on 150 Levo. Still have a swollen neck - but all of a sudden i have a lot of joint pain? I am trying to be mainly Gluton free but do have naughty days like this weekend. Could the joint pain be from eating Gluton or is ut another issue?

Really high TSH
Hi I had a recent blood test and my TSH has come back at 8.7, this is the highest I've ever had. The docs called me on Thursday and when I said I'm on 200mcg Levo they said they needed to get me in for a review. I'm going today at 10.30am. TSH attached T4 is 15.3 (11-22.6) T3 is 4.2 (3.5-6.5) Any

Medscape article: what's in a name? (brand vs genetic levothyroxine)
This made interesting reading and I've got mixed feelings after reading it. Certainly they are focused on TSH as a measurement of adequate levothyroxine replacement, which I think is dubious. However it contains some good explanations. They seem to be totally unaware that allergies and intolerances exist

thyroid issues and ivf
Hi I’ve recently had 2 unsuccessful fet’s, one was a BFN and the other stopped growing at around 5 weeks. I’ve had some bloods done recently and it appears that there’s some issues with my thyroid. (Undectable tsh and below range low t4). I know the big impact being hypothyroid can have on fertility

Advice on Taking Levothyroxine
Hi Eveyone Looking for advice. Is it ok if you don’t take Levothyroxine at exactly the same time every day? What I would like to try is taking it during the night when I wake up naturally (I usually wake a couple of times or more each night for the toilet). This would mean it could be taken at

puffy eyes levothyroxine
I was taking 100mcg levothyroxine my blood test result was TSH 4.36. Doctor advised to increase to 125mcg 4 days of week and 3 days 100mcg. I did that for first week to adjust as I could feel the difference in taking higher dose. I have now just continued on 125mcg every day as I really want to get my

generics or named
I just changed chemists and I see all my heart meds and levothyroxine are now issued as generic versions. Tbe previous chemist issued all named brands. Will I notice any difference- anyone else had experience of this change on all their meds at once. Thanks

Levothyroxine
Hi,I am on the levothyroxine of the past 2 month and I have missed my periods this time by 3 days. I am not sure if it's the levothyroxine is causing this. My period used to be so regular before taking this medication. Any one had the same experience? What should I do at this moment

Can Armour cause depression?
Hi and looking for advice. I have been taking Armour for just over two weeks having previously been on 100 mg of levothyroxine daily. I was so excited to be prescribed Armour as my T3 levels always fell below range and I had fatigue and joint pain when on levo. Already I think the joint pain is improving

Small dose of levothyroxine - good or bad?
I had thyroiditis many years ago. Since then, my dose of levothyroxine (and for a while NDT) has varied. However, it has never been a high dose (I don't have any record of it going over 100mcg/day), it has been as low as 25mcg/day, but settled at just 37.5mcg/day (driven by me, based on combination of

Pregnancy & liothyronine
Hi guys. I need some advice urgently. I've just found out I'm pregnant, so only 4-5 weeks, but I've been doing a liothyronine trial of 2 x 10mcg daily plus 75mcg levothyroxine for the last 8-10 weeks (previously I was on 125mcg levothyroxine). I've rung the hospital to inform the endocrinologist, but

Gluten
Since I started levo I also stopped eating products containing gluten as this was recommended. This was some 10 years ago. I have since read that this is not harmful. Can anyone tell me of the current recommendations regarding gluten??

Help with results undetectable tsh
hi I posted the other week about having a tsh of 0.008 a few weeks ago but it was an at home test. I’ve had them repeated through the doctors and these were the results: Tsh 0.001 (0.49-5.2) Free t4 11.4 (11.5-22.7) Free t3 5.6 (3.5-6.5) It doesn’t make sense to be hyper while my t4 is low. I’ve
