Anal Sex After Radiation Therapy
Hello, My PSA is .23 twelve months after laparoscopic prostatectomy. I am scheduled for a PET scan at the end of the month, and then a consult with my surgeon a week after that. I was able to resume bottoming with my partner about 3 months after surgery, and the sex has never been better. Now that

I am nearly halfway through a course of

with the aim of curing my lung cancer. I was just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar position and if so, at what point do you start to feel the benefits of the treatment. I seem to feel worse as the treatment progresses. Thanks

Flomax dosage 2x a day?
Anyone out there taking Flomax twice a day and if so, are you taking two doses at one time or spacing them out? If you are taking two was this on advice or consult with your doctor? My PA is suggesting I take 2 doses as I am getting up 8-9 times at night, of course the radiation therapy is probably

Dealing with my sister's diagnosis
She has had surgery and six weeks of
radiotherapy
, chemotherapy which seems to be the norm. She has been so positive throughout this but as soon as her treatment finished a couple of weeks ago, she has started to feel really down and feels her life is over, especially not being able to drive.

Treatment options for local PC that is resistant to radiation
I received radiation treatment to my pelvic area this past spring for castrate-resistant lesions in my prostate and two lymph nodes. A month after completing radiation, my PSA dropped from .22 to .09, but a CT scan showed only a small decrease in size of the lesions. Six weeks later, my PSA increased

FDG uptake to cervical nodes
Diagnosed last October, stage 4A with spread to regional lymph nodes. Gleason 9 but with low PSA score. Being treated at MSK in NYC. RP is scheduled for the end of this month, and have been on Firmagon and Zytiga for 6 months. The plan is to have radiation treatment in another 6 months, after recovery

Husbands Oesophagus Cancer Diagnosis. No hope
The fear is that it has grown into his Aorta, or if the
radiotherapy
shrinks it his Aorta could rupture there is no way of knowing.

Radiotherapy at Guys hospital anyone? I need to make a decision!
Anyone here had
radiotherapy
using LINAC at Guys? How was it, and how were the after affects? I know I have to make up my own mind but any opinions here on which I should choose?! I think I am going to go for
radiotherapy
but scared about the swelling after.

My cancer journey
Oh dear the mammogram showed a lump in the right breast - not the one inflamed - And so it was mastectomy, chemotherapy and
radiotherapy
after a very large orange-sized lump was removed. Then on to the aromatise-inhibitors, firstly Letrozole.

NSCLC again 18 months after radical radiotherapy. Oncologist says it appears to be the same cancer as before.
He previously had 6 weeks radical
radiotherapy
and responded well as the treatment frazzled the large localised cancerous tumour. Treatment finished in November 20 and he had subsequent 6 monthly CT scans .

Any hope?
In 2018 I started Zytiga and Lupron. Zytiga stopped working after three years. In December of 2021 I started Taxotere. It didn’t help. I had 25 treatments of radiation treatment for my pelvis area. Treatment stopped on 7/18/22. Now I’m dealing with the side effects. Anything else after the treatments

"Why Conventional Wisdom About Cancer Can Be Misleading", general and thought provoking.
Came across an interesting observation in an excerpt from a recent book by an evolutionary biologist. A bit general , still might be worth a read-https://lithub.com/why-conventional-wisdom-about-cancer-can-be-misleading/ "On the contrary, taking cancer cells from a tumor microenvironment and implanting

Advanced recurrent PCa, rising PSA, 2 negative PSMA PET Scans
Here's my story. In the summer of 2014 I was diagnosed with PCa, PSA 10.1, 4 cores of 12 Gleason of 3+4. My chosen treatment was Brachytherapy which I had done in Sept of 2014. Fast forward to the summer of 2018 with a rising PSA (approx 3.0), it never went below 1.1, I was diagnosed with recurrent

Advice on radiation treatment?
Hi, my husband (57) and I are new here. My husband was diagnosed with Stage 4b many mets to lymph system in pelvis, abdomen and the subclavicular lymph nodes in March. He’s on Lupron, was on Zytiga until his liver enzymes went way up (ALT 559 and AST 230) and will get radiation soon. The RO said
