I have switched from Qvar to Fostair. Do I have to experience side effects even though I have used other inhalers in the past?

Any alternative to clenil modulite?
Hi all, Been on clenil for around 2/3months - two puffs twice a day. (I’ve tried to stay consistent but have forgotten a couple of times)However, I don’t believe my asthma is any better when playing football and my airways are still closing up. I’ve tried fostair and didn’t get on with the long acting

Qvar over Fostaire any day.
Asthma nurse changed my Qvar to Fostaire back in February. Almost 4 months later after worsening breathing problems, wheeze (worse than usual), coughing at nighttime, sore throats, heart palpitations, bad headaches, anxiety attacks, dropsy with holding things... I stopped taking Fostaire and asked to

Hey folks, bear with me, for those that have not come across my story It started with a vape, woke up couldn’t breathe, felt like my lungs were filled with fluid, not sick, just hacking up a lung. Got marginally better 5 days in then 100 x worse.... 7 days doxycycline, didn’t help. Steroid inhalers.

Desperate and worried
Hi. I don't write much but read the posts often and find them amazing - so considerate and informative. My condition has deteriorated and I want to query this amazing group to see if any advice or similar experiences to draw from. Please forgive long post. Background: 63 yo Male in US. Mild asthma

Bandstandlad
Two weeks ago had a telephone appointment with a GP, I was concerned that my breathing had not been as normal for a few weeks. Certainly wheezing while breathing out, just breathing out! No real problem inhaling. I was asked to visit the surgery for a face to face appointment that same day with the GP

What is it like to have your asthma properly medicated?
Hi all, as I am one of the original first UK Coronavirus Lockdown's bronchitis or asthma (which is looking more like asthma now due to symptoms) patient since: 05/05/2020, due to being triaged at a hospital as my doctor could hear me wheeze and lose my breath the deeper I coughed over the telephone;

Steroid inhaler which doesn't raise anxiety!!
Hi All, I've been on the search for a decent steroid inhaler with minimal side effects and mainly not to mess with anxiety Etc! Latest one I've tried is Symbicort! Raised my anxiety along with other horrible symptoms! So I'm guessing its formoteral at fault, as had same issue with Fostair! Any body

Fostair and tremors
I have been taking Fostair 200/6 for nearly two years now and have terrible tremors with it, so much so that I thought it was the start of Parkinson’s. I found that when I went back to my previous treatment of Serevent and Qvar the tremors went away, but I am told there are no combination inhalers that

I’m not sure where to go from here! So I’m wondering if anyone else with severe/ complicated asthma might be able to provide any suggestions on what else I could try! I’m on fostair 2 x 3times a day, qvar 800, xolair & fexodenadine, montelukast, carbocisteine. Last time I was tested I wasn’t eligible

Flixotide 250
Hi all, I am looking for more advice! This time regarding an inhaler. I have recently been given Flixotide 250 and have been instructed to take 2 puffs morning and night. After doing a bit of research, I see this is quite a high dose inhaler. I recently had a flare up (not sure of the trigger) and was

Asthma getting worse
Hello everyone! Hope you all had a good Christmas! I haven't posted on here for a while but was looking for some advice... I am 27 years old and have never had a problem with my asthma up until this year. Earlier in the year I was quite ill (no symptoms of covid but they aren’t ruling it out). Since

Flutiform query as I am having problems
Hello I am new to the forum. I wondered if anyone has had a problem with Flutiform. I was diagnosed with Asthma 5 years ago at 65. At first I was given Clenil and Salbutamol inhalers by my GP. At a review with the Asthma nurse the preventer was changed to Fostair which made me cough and that was changed

How long do side effects last after stopping using inhalers
I switched over from Flixotide to Qvar 10 days ago to check if my burning back pain is related to flixotide. My asthma seems to be less controlled on Qvar so I will probably need to go back on Flixotide. From your experience, how long did side effects from asthma inhalers last after you stopped

Has anyone been switched from QVAR to Kelhale?
Hi, I've been on QVAR100 for a few years now and it's one that has really worked well for me. I recently had an asthma review where the nurse said I was doing well and to keep going as I was. Today I received a letter saying they are switching my inhaler to the cheaper brand but am I within my rights

Spacer for Qvar
Hi I am trying to find a spacer for Qvar inhaler ( with a round nozzle), Google suggested Aerochamber plus but it seems to have an oval nozzle. Anybody using it with a spacer? Thanks
