Fostair and tremors

I have been taking Fostair 200/6 for nearly two years now and have terrible tremors with it, so much so that I thought it was the start of Parkinson’s. I found that when I went back to my previous treatment of Serevent and Qvar the tremors went away, but I am told there are no combination inhalers that have a different long acting beta agonist, is this true?

Sorry that you are having such terrible side effects. I will share my experience in hopes it may give you some insights.I have significant transient muscle weakness and a bit of tremor with the combination inhaler Breo Ellipta, which is fluticasone and vilanterol. It may be another option for you, although expensive and a strong steroid component. I do not have severe disease (asthma and bronchiectasis), so I switched to separate inhalers Qvar and nebulized albuterol. I do half doses of the nebulized albuterol twice a day with almost no side effects. I give up convenience of the long acting inhaler for reduced side effects with the short acting. But I have to remember to do it, or my lungs will remind me :-(

In the research literature I have read that low potassium is associated with tremors in some cases. If your doc thinks it's ok, maybe boost mineral intake or high potassium foods. Anything that supports muscle function naturally might help.

Hi there! I have used Qvar and it was working well but after about 3 weeks it made my heart ache! To the point I thought I could be having a heart attack! Researched Qvar and found out it can cause issues with your heart in women over 50! Wait What!! Contacted my dr and was switched to Breo. I have no issues with Breo and would suggest trying it. I too was given albuterol for a nebulizer but found that caused more mucus which causes coughing so I don’t treat with that often. I can take one whiff of the nebulizer and I’m good vs using an entire treatment. Good luck!
