Caffeine Boost to Acetylcholine in NMJ?
Has anyone in the UK been prescribed
pyridostigmine
(or similar) on the way to a diagnosis, rather than a treatment? I'm awaiting nerve conduction studies, so I'll throw this new clue into the pot.

Salbutamol for Myasthenia
Why can't I get a trial of
pyridostigmine
?! From what I read, it's used routinely for diagnosis in the USA, so why not here?

I responded really well to the myasthenia drug
pyridostigmine
. Which I am still on. After 2 years I asked my local neuro if I could see a myasthenia specialist as I was not responding to treatment like I should. I had a recent scan (Feb) at Queens Sq, by the new specialist seeing about ?

Hi! Just joined. Is there MG-lite?
I suggested trying a low dose of
pyridostigmine
, in the hope it revealed a clue one way or the other, but was refused. I've lived with atopic dermatitis and multiple allergies all my life, which are controlled with local steroids, antihistamines and emollients.

Myasthenia Gravis with NSCL cancer
He’s on steroids and
pyridostigmine
3x a day and the double vision is better but that’s the only change. He’s weakness is is extremely bad and we are both getting very discouraged. Has anyone had any experience with myasthenia Gravis. They say the immune therapy has attacked his immune system.

When pressor agents are needed, direct pressor agents (midodrine) or agents that potentiate sympathetic activity (atomoxetine, yohimbine,
pyridostigmine
) can be used.

Does anyone with Hyperthyroid also have myasthenia gravis?
I also take 75 mg
pyridostigmine
for myasthenia. Just starting to feel bit numb in mouth/throat , hope that will be temporary and had an episode last week one evening of lightheaded and cool. Weird feeling.

What's different?
Much easier to do here as neither of us have commitments and our only restrictions are that I can't eat food within 90 mins of taking my
Pyridostigmine
, sticking to that has meant I no longer need the propathaline to counter the effect of the Pyrid. on bowel and bladder, yeah! One med down!

During the Gulf War, to protect themselves from chemical and biological weapons, Israeli soldiers took a drug called
pyridostigmine
. Nearly one-quarter of them complained of headaches, nausea, and dizziness – symptoms which occur only if the drug reaches the brain.
