If it is not asthma, could there be something wrong with my lungs? 🤔🤔
Hi. What is your opinion on this? Do you think I have Asthma or something else (perhaps a lung problem)? 🙂 I'm 19 years old and have been significantly out of breath always, from the age of 6/7. It was not until I was about 15, that I was officially diagnosed with asthma by the gp after I had an asthma

Hayfever Misery
After being inventive and starting off in my house due to hayfever, I haven’t been able to do any more as the pollen count down here must be particularly high at the moment. Anti-histamines, eye drops, nasal spray and inhalers .... and I’m still suffering. So, I’m putting things on hold till I stop

Surgery visit today.
A lift in my son's car this morning to the surgery this morning, there was no way I could have walked there, for my second Covid jab (AstraZeneca). The GP, who was not involved with the vaccinations, was just passing through, pulled me out of the queue and directed me to an examination room, he had spotted

Insomnia and Heart Palpitations With Clenil Modulite 100
I've been given a trial of Clenil Modulite 100, 2 puffs twice a day. After the second dose on the first day of taking it, that night my heart was thumping so hard it felt like my chest was about to burst, I got so anxious and hardly slept. Awful! I reduced to one puff once a day and my breathlessness

Obstructive asthma or Asthma - COPD overlap - confused
Hi I have posted on here about my overuse of Salbutamol and my GP practice asthma nurse wanting to stop it! Big red flag and a lot of stress for me. Anyway long story short agreed to further investigations and tests. Peak flow best is 250 - 200 I feel ok on this with help of salbutamol in the day.

Scared
Hello, was diagnosed with asthma in November after ending up with a stay in hospital for a week. Have been using two inhalers as prescribed but have been having lots of chest pain and have what seems like a vice gripping my chest. Drs prescribed steroids for a week, felt so bad after course had finished

How long does montlelukast take to start working?
I’m thinking of asking my nurse for montelukast as an add on for my current flare up. I’m due to finish pred and worried the SoB will flare up again. Wondering if montelukast will even things out a bit 🤔. Would I have to wait 8 weeks as with a steroid inhaler for it to work? 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Lupus and episcleritis or scleritis?
Hi everyone I hope you are ok. Please can I check has anyone with severe lupus on immunosuppressants and prednisolone already had episcleritis or scleritis which is inflammation of eye? If so did they resolve ok? What treatments did you get in addition to what you have already? Many thanks

Spirometry at hospital but no reversibility?
I have managed to get a spirometry appointment finally at the hospital! However, I'm rather annoyed at my GP as due to my issues suspected asthma/copd not sure if I have either one or both, I have been taking firstly, the combi inhalers and haven't got on with these due to side effects so since trying

Dry mouth and post-inhalation mouth rinse
Hello - advice please. I use Fostair with an inhaler and always rinse then gargle, but with water only. My mouth is always dry particularly at night. Is there a mild mouth rinse that might be better than water, and could it help with the dry mouth?

Eosinophilic Asthma and Benralizumab
So after nearly 4 years of this diagnosis and that diagnosis and treatment that didn't really work I got refered to a wonderful Specialist at Nottingham City Hospital who went through all my medical history. Incredibly thorough and then I could see his brain working out everything. His thoughts regarding

Significant reduction in Ventolin inhaler use after Astra Zenica Covid vaccination.
I had my first Astra Zenica covid vaccination about a month ago so after a lifetime of Ventolin and/or Salbutamol inhaler use, I do not see how it can be a coincidence that my reliance on the aforementioned inhalers has gone from several times a day to maybe once a week or less. I still take my preventer
