Lost inhaler

Hope all are well. Just back from a 4 day break away, just what we needed! Anyway I have somehow lost or misplaced (or put somewhere safe) my Fostair inhaler. I don’t have a spare, but have spare ventolin.

I last took it yesterday morning (sat) so have currently missed (almost) 3 doses.

I take Fostair 200/6 two puffs x twice a day. Ventolin as needed.

I will ring GP and ask for a prescription but it usually takes two days. Should I just take the ventolin twice a day (or more) just to help with the lack of reliever that’s in the Fostair? Or just if I feel symptoms? Thank you in advance.

Note to self must get this house spring cleaned! Or hire a cleaner 🥵

Can you call 111? They should be able to do a prescription virtually for you and send it to a pharmacy.

Thanks twinkly oh I should have thought of that yesterday and could have got it from the pharmacy today! Just had a look and none of our local pharmacies are open, there’s one about 16 miles away, but it’s worth a try ringing 111 then I should get it first thing in the morning. Better than waiting another couple of days. Thanks hope you’re well 😊

Don't wait for prescription to be filled. If tell your GP practice you have left it on holiday they will do one straight away. That's of course if no luck with 111.

Thank you, I should get one pretty quickly then, that’s a relief! Just didn’t want to get back to square one having missed it for a couple of days, then waiting even longer. Thanks 😊 hope you’re ok

It's in their best interest , they don't want you ill surely as well as yours too.Things happen. You had a much needed break and lost your Fostair.

Thank you for asking after me. I'm doing much better thank.

Contact your regular chemist tomorrow. They will probably issue you with a replacement when you explain the circumstances.

Hi, I'm glad you had a good break away and hope things are well with you apart from losing you inhaler we've all done it. When I lost mine I went to my regular chemist who issued me a new inhaler straight away then I had to contact the gp to send prescription over to chemist when ever it was suitable.Hope you get it sorted soon.
