Intermittent ADT
Prostatectomy
, 40 radiation treatments and 7 months Lupron. PSA was soon undetectable. Stayed that way until 2020. It slowly increased to 7.3 in 2021. Ga68PSMA and Auxumin (?) Pet scans all showed nothing. Started on Firmagon. PSA went to undetectable within two weeks.

Gerson therapy: juicing
I had mentioned to her that I had prostate cancer in 2015, then
prostatectomy
...biochemical recurrence and radiation in late 2017. So far PSA has been undetectable. She suggested to me that it could still be there and that I do Gerson therapy for 2 years.

Latest from BATman Denmeade
Others have asked if BAT could be used as primary therapy instead of radical
prostatectomy
or radiation. The answer to both questions is “No.” As described above, BAT was designed and primarily tested as a new therapy for men with CRPC based on its production of high amounts of the AR.

Artificial Urinary Sphincter question
Hello fine people, I am dealing with quite a bit of continence issues more than 2 1/2 years after
prostatectomy
. Considering AUS, but I’m worried about how long the recovery is. I am very active, biking and sailboat racing, don’t want to lose too much muscle mass or sailing season.

Breast Tenderness post Eligard
It's been a year since my last 3-month Eligard injection (following radical
prostatectomy
and salvage radiation) and my PSA level in late November has stayed undetectable while my testosterone level has risen to 13.2 nmol/L. Recently my breasts have become quite tender.

Testosterone lowering but PSA rising
2015
Prostatectomy
, external beam radiation and two yrs ADT (Zoladex) and four yrs active surveillance. However, Dec 2020 PSA was 2.59 and Dec 2021 now 6.9. Testosterone Dec 2020 was 22.2 but Dec 2021 it has dropped to 13.6. Why is my testosterone going down while my PSA is rising?

I need lots of advice about my role as a caretaker.
My partner had Robotic
Prostatectomy
11 days ago. I stayed with him for 10, and waited on him hand and foot. Through my back out assisting him in and out of the bed. But I live and work 2 hours away. I feel so guilty for leaving him but could not get extra time off work.

Survival after Radical Prostatectomy versus Radiation Therapy in High-Risk and Very High-Risk Prostate Cancer
This just appeared in today's email. Apparently a database study of patients treated 2010-2016. At 5 years out, RP less cancer-specific mortality than RT.....the most significant advantage for very high-risk men. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34555930/ Not a randomized study, but will we ever have

The Metabolic Syndrome [MetS] & PCa
In addition, several studies have found that obesity increases the risk of biochemical recurrence following
prostatectomy
; however, the few studies that have examined more definitive end points, metastases and death, have been less consistent.

Radical Prostatectomy - Maybe It's Time is Past
I recently received this from Prostate Cancer News: Basically, research indicating that the related side effects make radical
prostatectomy
counter-indicated for Gay Men.
