For post-
prostatectomy
ED, the initial question for men is most often "how long until recovery" (naturally, seems obvious as to why). Doctors give advice that ranges considerably; in my case, the initial range quoted was 6-18 months.

I had a proscectomy in 2019 and since I haven't been able to have intercourse with my wife and it's killing me I was 55 when I had the
prostatectomy
and now I'm 59 I've tried pumps I've tried try mix nothing seems to work and I can get some blood in my penis but never enough to get it hard.

New to the forum and doing Intermittent ADT
Things looked great after my
prostatectomy
, but then my PSA started rising a year later. Got a PSMA scan and no mets were detectable. Decided against radiation and went with ADT only. My plan is to do ADT intermittently to get the best quality of life possible. Just trying to manage this.

Considering my age and hopeful longevity, I’m planning for the surgery (robotic

) in another 6 weeks or so. I’ve not spoken with an oncologist.

bladder neck invasion. Can it be radiated?
My husband had radical
prostatectomy
last week and the pathology report came back with “bladder neck invasion present”, in” right mid and superior posterior and left and right bladder neck”. I’m wondering is it possible to radiate that area after he heals from surgery?

Long complicated paper on gut microbiome and PCa, human and mouse studies.
Supplementation with LCn3 resulted in a reduction of cancer growth in mouse models and reduction of upgrading in pre-

patients associated with a reduction of gut Ruminococcaceae and fecal butyrate levels.

Genistein potentiates the radiation effect on prostate carcinoma cells
In 2004, after my failed
prostatectomy
, I came across the Life Extension protocol for PCa (at that time). It included their Ultra Soy Extract. 5 caps provided a massive amount of genistein. LEF suggested taking this 4 times daily. I think that one bottle was $75 & I would need 4 for a month.

Decided to have a robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy - update
Reasons for my decision: I made a decision based on my understanding, see below. Radiation - no effect on urinary leakage, sexual function initially preserved but wanes for most, limited options for salvage - if cancer recurs treatment is palliative/non curative, long term radiation damage to bladder

ART BCR Biochemical Recurrence post Radical Prostatectomy RP, Adjuvent Radiation Treatment, Benign Cells, usPSA Ultra Sensitive PSA
Some excerpts from a podcast covering many aspects of active surveillance, both post radical
prostatectomy
(RP) and adjuvant/ early salvage radiation (aRT / eSRT). There is an interesting breakdown of usPSA (ultra sensitive PSA) with predictive values for BCR.
