The efficacy and safety of radical prostatectomy and radiotherapy in high-risk prostate cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis
For your consideration........recent update...... https://wjso.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12957-020-01824-9 Conclusion here...... RP seems to offer better OS but inferior results for CSS and biochemical recurrence. Brachy boost may perform better in all aspects. I think Tall_Allen has already

Post-op pathology
Looking for any positive thoughts following my robotic
prostatectomy
. My pre-op stats were: PSA 26 Gleason 8 Bone scan- negative MRI negative for spread outside of the capsule. However, my post op pathology shows 3 of 10 lymph nodes were positive.

ADT with Radiation? Also which type of Radiation?
I had my
prostatectomy
on June 3, 2019. I had been under active surveillance starting in 2014. My PSAs typically ranged in the 5s for three years until it got to the low 6s in the fall of 2017. Finally it broke out of the low 6s in November of 2018 when it hit 7.

Any advice for a struggling runner?
Hi fellow travellers, I am writing for some advice regarding my running following my
prostatectomy
and then salvage radiotherapy. I have been a keen runner since my 40’s and became quite good at it, running most days and completing many marathons.

New. Post prostatectomy PFM therapy, sling,
I had a RALP (Robot Assisted Laparoscopic
Prostatectomy
) 11 months ago. I had a Gleason 8 prostate cancer. That problem was solved, my PSA has been zero since then. However, I was left with significant urinary incontinence.

Non-invasive diagnostic for prostate margin determination
Is there any noninvasive diagnostic (CT-scan, MRI, etc.) that can determine with reasonable certainty if there is cancer in the prostate margins or extracapsular involvement without having a
prostatectomy
? I’m looking for something more certain than nomograms and other types of statistic tables.

Has anyone had nerve sparing
prostatectomy
? Am contemplating selecting this a course of treatment. Can you share some of your experiences with the procedure and the results. Did the results meet your expectations? Thanks!

DECIPHER risk
Does anyone know, do DECIPHER post
prostatectomy
results assessing metastatic and PCSM risk reflect the
prostatectomy
treatment or do those numbers assess the risk of the tumor tissue without regard to treatment?

Looking for incontinence supplies
I had a
prostatectomy
with Lupron and Radiation. I developed hemorrhagic radiation cystitis and underwent multiple cystoscopies to control bleeding. I am now quite incontinent. I am a golfer and looking for incontinence supplies that are easy to change (without removing your pants).

Husband doesn’t want to continue ADT/treatments for stage 4. He is only 51.
He had
prostatectomy
12/10/19 (g7, tertiary 5 at multi focal positive margins and aggressive cancer). First PSA at 3 months was 1.44–next few PSAs DT of less than 2 months. Axumin pet showed cancer in several iliac lymph nodes, area in sacrum and small area in bladder.

Statin use and risk of PCa biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy.
"In the largest reported surgical cohort to date, we investigated the effect of statin therapy on BCRF {biochemical recurrence free} and overall survival in patients with CaP who have undergone radical
prostatectomy
(RP)."

66 year old father - prostate cancer spread to pelvis - advice please
He was diagnosed with prostate cancer this year and had a radical
prostatectomy
in late July. His starting PSA was 7.5 and he had gleason 4+5. He had a scan pre-surgery and they said the cancer was contained in the prostate.
