Progesterone

I’ve just had the call to say I need to start the shots today as my level is 30.4mmo/L. I’m worried as my husband often works late and I’m not sure who will give me the shots!

I keep taking my Progesterone and Estrogen until the proper period shows up. Anyone has this experience? Sorry for the long post. Best of luck to everyone in this type of journey. Xxx

This is a heavy progesterone drug. Sometimes doctors proscribe this or estrogen, which apparently tricks the cancer into resetting itself, leaving the future open to perhaps try other types of treatment than chemo. I did a search on this site and there is limited information from the past.

’m newly diagnosed,51,in chemical menopause chiefly for PMDD but it’s working well for endo pain too.I’m also on HRT.I’m hoping to stop chemical menopause soon to see if my natural menopause has happened and I’m looking for advice/anyone who’s experienced using HRT and if it impacts endo pain.I use progesterone

The progesterone I just started yesterday and I am feeling pretty beat. On top of everything a week ago today I lost a very dear family member and am grieving like I’ve never grieved before.

The first time I was on oral estrogen 2x 2mg three times a day and 2x 200mg progesterone pessaries twice a day (so 800mg progesterone daily).

I’ve been using natural progesterone for a long time with some success but the time has come to fine-tune.

However, my basal morning temp has not increased ---It is still around 97.2 during my follicular phase and a bit higher, 97.7 F, during my luteal phase [as expected, due to increased progesterone during the luteal phase].

If it’s just mind games/progesterone and I am not pregnant, then I’m done with the tricks my body is playing on me 🙈. Test day is actually Sunday, which is 13 days post transfer… but 18 days past collection/fertilisation. Sunday feels like she’s away!

Linings always perfect,progesterone always good…. I’m numb.

I will be doing clexane i know plus the progesterone but can't remember when this starts. Is it after the blood test to see if everything is ok?

I’m still on lots of meds (progesterone, estradiol) and I’m a bit overweight, so I’m not super surprised my back hurts, but everything worries me at this stage (when will it stop!!!). Has anyone experienced similar pain or has coping strategies for it? Thanks everyone! Tee

Also on extra progesterone this time so on lubion injections once a day as well as the pessaries 3 times a day. Taking oestrogen 4 times a day also and the blood thinner injection. Im hoping the added progesterone as well as the steroids and blood thinners make things work this time.

They do push testosterone and progesterone and I don't do well on either one or at last not at the moment. I found a new GYN and she changed my estrogen to a more stable and consistent delivery method. I am trying a ring that is inserted called the Femring. I have been using it for 3 1/2 weeks.

I had an extra 24 hours of progesterone this time, so hoping that might make a difference. I feel quite strange this time - I keep forgetting I've actually had an embie transferred!

Does anyone use norethisterone as a daily progesterone alongside Oestrogen, to help control bleeding? Bleeding is the bane of my life right now and I would give anything to just not bleed when on HRT. I’m meant to be post menopausal, but since December 2020, I have bled on and off whilst on HRT.

But I’m worried that this may be due to low progesterone (I haven’t had my usual sore boobs etc that I get in a natural cycle). Is this line too light for 9dp5dt? Is there anything I can do about the progesterone at this stage, or would it just be too late?

I recently started on the progesterone only pill to try to even out monthly dips in my symptoms. It’s definitely helped. My most recents posts on here were because about 3 weeks after starting the pill, my FT3 went sky high and I felt awful.

In 2018, Thea Grinstad followed up with [8]: " Receptors in Prostate Cancer: Progesterone receptor B is the isoform associated with disease progression" *** The literature on PCa & progesterone is a bit muddy, but I'm inclined to follow Grinstad & be wary of the role of the progesterone

They have given me stronger pain medication which didn’t work, 2 ultrasounds which showed nothing, the combined pill which gave me migraines and now I’m on the progesterone only pill. The dr who prescribed that said she couldn’t refer me to a gynaecologist until I’d had 6 months on the pill.
