Had cardiology appointment today, no real progress!
My irregular and now pretty painful heart beats are still increasing so much so I ended up in A&E this week but the result of that was nil, except being checked out for immediate danger. However I did manage to get a cardiologist appointment for today which wasn't entirely fruitless but also didn't resolve

Recognising the effect of anxiety within AF
Reading Richard75's recent post titled "Light at the end of the AF tunnel - a success story" has really opened my mind about the role of anxiety within AF. Prior to my AF, I was lucky to have never suffered from anxiety, stress or depression. And so my latest theory is that all of the worry I

verapamil
Has anyone been given verapamil to use as a pill in the pocket to either stop tachycardia or stop pvc's ? I was at the ER a couple of days ago with tachycardia that lasted almost four hours. 100ml of Flecainide didn't stop it so they did a chemical cardioversion and it stopped it straight away. I'm always

Had a really rough couple of days. Anyone know what this tingling in my arms and fingers is all about?
This thing is hitting me way harder than I expected. I haven't been in AF for 6 days, but the last 3 days I've been getting lightheaded and tingling down my arms and into my little fingers (normally after I've been on my feet for 20 minutes). Some hours later I get hit by a powerful head rush. Not enough

Dizziness feeling when in NSR?
It has now happened to me on 3 occasions. Just wondering if anyone recognises these symptoms as being associated with AF, or should I be looking elsewhere? Just an hour ago I was sitting in my car when I felt a strong head rush / dizziness coming on. My head feels kind of fizzy and fuzzy inside. My

First visit to the cardiologist
I wasn't in there long. The summary of my consultation as follows: He recommends ablation, given that I have a low resting HR and wish to return to sport. I am being referred to an EP to take this further. (I don't relish heart surgery at age 38, but, I feel content that they are going straight for

7 weeks, mixed health still
So I started Cardiac Rehab last Friday and had my second session this Tuesday. So far because of my health prior to the bypass not being great I have found it tiring for sure. I've also ended up with muscle tweaks in my shoulders, neck and back along with some pains in my calf and ankle. That being said

PVC's and PAC's when not in AF - normal?
Hello again :) So, I got my ECG machine yesterday and have been trying it out quite a bit. I am mostly in NSR, occasionally I see PACs, and my latest graph shows PVCs every 2, 3 or 4 normal beats. I haven't been in constant AF for 3 weeks but have had 2 brief AF attacks in the last 2 weeks. Just wondering

5 1/2 weeks post CABG and still PVCs etc..
My most annoying post CABG issue is problems with ectopic beats/PVCs etc.. I get them everyday and not little ones you hardly notice, they are frequent and quite distracting. Sure I have soreness still in my chest which I expected since I had a double mammary artery bypass but these premature and missed

Second ablation?
Hello, new here, I am contemplating a second ablaton and have some fear of it. Had one in 2013 worked some for about a year, steadily continue to have increasing episodes. They are not near as severe as they were before the ablation, but they can still knock me down pretty hard. The anxiety sometimes

Feeling like dying every second..PVC, PAC how do you keep calm and not freak out all the time??
I have been having Pac and Pvc for the past 2 years.. had multiple 2 weeks monitors, Echocardiograms, EKGs, MRI (not completed bc of Migrane), Stress test....I don't exercise anymore because I can't get over the fear of dying of cardiac arrest. My friend, a year older than me (30) died of Sudden Cardiac

RVOT Ablation
Hello, I am scheduled to have a RVOT Ablation in a couple weeks and and wondering if anyone can share their own experience with me...the good and the bad. I'm trying to prepare myself mentally for the process and having a lot if anxiety because of it. I'm scared to have it done and maybe more scared

Any other symptoms?
Hello, I was diagnosed with ITP at 11 years old. Long story short it practically went away I just check my platlet count regularly to be sure. Since then I've had other health problems and I've always wanted to see if they could be related. I have a high amount of PVC which make my heart rate really

To call ambulance -- or not?
I notice that almost everyone indicates that they are aware when an AF episode occurs, and that there has been a lot of advice to call an ambulance when the episode is particularly rough. While only occasionally I've felt what I assume to be AF -- a sort of mild fluttering -- I'm very aware of frequent

A funny thing happened when I stopped my Beta blocker.
Hi all, first time post. I had an ablation for AF late last December. While I was free of any arrhythmias for the first week, I soon developed a lot of PVCs and PACs. My Afib was always well controlled and I never needed cardioversion. In fact, I usually didn't even feel it much, but confirmed it

Heart all over the place
I have been experiencing pvcs and pacs for 15 years , also about an episode of slow svt or two per year. Lately my pvcs and pacs have increased to at times several within a minute at times, and occasionally when I get up from laying down either my heart rates speeds up to over 100 bpm or more oddly slows

First panic attack since surgery
I tried. To get out of the house today. So what better place to go than with my husband to the farm he works for. The ride was wonderful. I did my best not to cry because I was enjoying the view. I had taken some meds to break my constipation since I haven't gone in a few day due to pain meds and surgery

She went on to explain (this is a cardiologist) that anxiety is real
