So after doing the 2 week event monitor the cardiologist LAUGHED!!! yep.. She said she does not know WHY my regular doc even ordered it.. yes I am having lots of PVCs but my rhythm is great and the bradycardia is what it is... WOW!! She went on to explain (this is a cardiologist) that anxiety is real and its physical manifestations are SO REAL and that I need to do all I can to calm my existence. I left so happy..joined a yoga studio, learning breathing techniques, and taking it one day at a time KNOWING my heart is not sick, my mind is. I of course have my Xanex for the rougher days but I think for the first time in a long time...I have a bit of peace. Thank you all for your continued support and I hope my sharing helps!!

p.s. I went to my gynecologist too and she has placed me on a low dose hormone because she said she has 100s of patients in their 40s whose fluctuating hormones are contributing to growing anxiety, PVCs, etc. DOUBLE WOW!!!

Hi Duchess @ yogi (yoga practitioner),

Great news for you twice :)

In some ways it's good the local doctor ordered the test to rule something out before coming up with anxiety as the diagnosis.

The other part says, how come the doctor couldn't recognize your anxiety symptoms from your history before ordering the monitor and expensive visit to the cardiologist. Most doctors these days, could do an ECG in the surgery.

Thanks and yes it was a bit of good news. I guess I am just disappointed in my doc because he has been my doc for 10 years and knows I have health anxiety, specifically with my heart so its been extra tough and he was so quick to say, 'nope too young for any menopause'... but it all worked out so no hard feelings!! :) Thank you for your support!!!!! xo

Glad to hear, exercise is great for the body and mind. I took up cycling and love it. Also been going to the gym and noticed that my anxiety is way down. Also eating healthier and watching what I eat.

Yes, I recently purchased a rowing machine and was nervous about it because of what I thought was a 'heart' condition. I got on it just yesterday and it felt INCREDIBLE!! I have a friend who is a dietitian/ nutritionist and she will be in town next month and we are going to have a long talk about food. Thanks!! xo
