prednisolone withdrawal.
I posted earlier but not sure if it’s been seen. I went down from 7.5mg yesterday to 7mg ( every four weeks) by pm i developed tenderness on head. I have been fine, bloods done last Wednesday all normal range. I’m not sure as I’ve seen before that if it’s withdrawal it’s quite quick to get effects and

Major GCA Headache with 1/2mg taper
I'm on TCZ (Actemra) and
Prednisone
. I've been tapering from 55mg August 2022 to 9mg currently. I was trying to go down 1mg per month, but when tapering just a half mg from 9 to 8.5mg, I got horrible unbearable headaches. Is it possible that I have to stay at 9mg longterm with GCA and PMR?

prednisolone withdrawal
Hi I dropped from 7.5mg to 7 yesterday and by late afternoon tender area on scalp started. I know that it’s been said before that if this happens straight away it’s usually down to withdrawal and if it’s days later a flare. I can’t lay on that side, paracetamol hasn’t done anything and I’m awake at silly

Would dose timing help this?
My main problem is getting off the
prednisone
without going crazy. I am now tapering from 8 1/2 to 8. I take this at 5:30 on arising. Once I-reached 5 days on the lower dose I feel terrible on awakening. I call this feeling “adrenal”. By noon I feel well and can do normal stuff.

Anyone else on Pred. plus Sulfasalazine?
I've noticed that others are also on Methotrexate or Leflunomide along with their daily dose of
prednisone
. My dr. tried both of those at various times but I had unwelcome side effects from each.

On slow drop but having back pain again. Pred withdrawal or DOMS.
Started on prednisolone in March 2019 and pmr was managed well, apart from needing to go up a little after vaccinations. The bi valent covid booster in Oct '22 when down to 6.5mg or so kicked my immune system it seems, so had to go back to starter dose of 15mg unfortunately. See previous posts.Using

Does anyone take pantoprazole with MtX?
During this weekend I have had a bad pain in my esophagus. I get that from time to time, probably due reflux caused by the prednisolone and PMR, as it is worse during a flare. I usually take pantoprazole a couple of days and it heals up fast (doctor's prescription). However - now I am on MtX since

Travel
Morning all, hope you can help me , I'm travelling to Kenya in November I've just seen on the government website that if your taking steroids ie prednisolone you maynot be able to have the yellow fever vaccination. Is this correct has anyone travelled to Kenya with this issue. I'm taking 6mg a day .

GCA Flareup
Methortrexate to get me off
prednisone
, I said no to that because if I do have a flare up I need to increase the
prednisone
again, then I'll have another drug to deal with.

Lepto meningeal involvement. No further treatment. Palliative radiation?
Spouse 10 weeks post Pluvicto and about to embark on a Hail Mary trial of androgen receptor degrader. But yesterday's brain MRI showed spread to dura and leptomeninges. So my lovely light and love of my life is coming to the end of the road we have walked, too briefly, together. Oncologist has already

Stopped taking prednisolone
My PMR journey started December 2019. As covid started soon afterwards and there was no support from the local surgery, Health Unlocked was an absolute godsend. I would therefore like to say a big thank you for the helpful feedbacks received and really did appreciate all the replies for peace of mind

Adrenals or that dripping tap?
I have not had a return of PMR/LVV type pain, but it feels as though every little thing that may have been masked by pred for the last 4+ years has come to the surface, as though my aging has been hidden under the comfort blanket of
prednisone
, which has now been lifted.

No diagnosis
I am desparate tonight. I've woken and coughed myself fruitlessly into a panic, after spending the last 2 weeks trying to stop coughing fairly successfully. Over the last few months, I've tried to see a doctor, but only see respiratory nurses. They tried 2 courses of antibiotics with prednisolone. Wheezing
