I saw Dr Ray Chaudhuri at Kings Collage Hospital yesterday He has reccomended Neupro patch. Can anybody give me some advice
I suffer from what i thought was secondry insomnia due to RLS and or sideffect to
Pramipexole
but Dr Chaudhuri thinks i should not have any sleep problems,
Pramipexole
helps people with RLS to sleep. It does but only for 1-2 hours after taking it.

Have been on
Pramipexole

It's even worse when it's impossible to get out of bed.
At the moment I'm on
Pramipexole
0.52mg prolonged release tablets. One in the morning and one at night, and I'm getting a wonderful 5 hours sleep most nights.

How can I help my Mum?
Mum has been taking Ropinorole for about 10 months but she has got worse and her meds have been changed to
Pramipexole
which don't seem to be having any further effect at all. I have seen a lot of blogs that say that a hot bath is effective but unfortunately I can't get Mum in a bath.

Clocks "going back" in the UK: does this have an effect on the treatment of our RLS and, if so, what do sufferers do about it?
If we are used to taking our meds at a certain time in the evening to gain relief all through the night, the change must have an effect, i.e. say
pramipexole
lasted 8 hours and it was taken an hour earlier or later than usual it would have an effect surely.

I have been using
Pramipexole
for a few months now but after a really bad couple of nights tried stopping all alcohol. The effect has been dramatic . I would really like to hear from others about this illness because it is having such a drastic effect on my life.

Does anyone else "stagger" their pramipexole meds?
In the past I have taken
pramipexole
(4x0.088mg) at about 8pm and eventually get relief from RLS symptoms throughout the night. My GPs have refused to allow me the Neupro patch and when I tried the highest dose it made me fall asleep during the day.

Restless Arm Syndrome?
I have seen a specialist and been put on
Pramipexole
. He said I was unusual as my arms and hands [and head and neck] are affected. My legs are affected but my arms and hands seem more restless than my legs. The
Pramipexole
seems to be working well most of the time.

At last a positive use for those kicking legs!
Well, a short time ago my legs were really kicking as I waited (im)patiently for the
pramipexole
to kick in (we can't avoid that expression can we?!). Anyway my wife just returned from the gyn complaining about one of the tyres on our car having something wrong with it.

.I am looking for clarification on a number of things to do with RLS and if it's possible to get answers I would be over the moon!!
Now as a sufferer, I realise what she was going through.I am taking
Pramipexole
and Co Codomol to try and control my RLS but these are becomming less effective with time. If possible I would like clarification on the following. a) Should I reduce my salt intake? b) Should I avoid alcohol?

Dr Tim Godfrey...FINALLY!!!.....ANSWERS
I am getting more symptoms now and have been put on
pramipexole
for the shakes I am getting. I cannot speak more highly of this doctor. He was part of the research team with Prof Hughes and therefore understands the fickle nature of the condition.

Daily Mail on RLS today
For my patients, I favour
pramipexole
. While dopamine agonists are the same medicines used in the treat-ment of Parkinson's disease, let me reassure you that restless legs are not a form of Parkinson's, and nor do they lead to it.

Have just discovered this site this morning. Would like to share me experiences and meds.
I take
pramipexole
and also Gabapentin three times a day. They take a while to kick in but when they do I can hardly keep my eyes open, which isn't ideal during the day, so I try not to sit down and keep busy. I have put a lot of weight on and constantly want to eat.
