iodine? Or not?
I am thinking of getting supplements to help my general all round health but was just offered iodine at a health store. Didn't think it was wise to take Iodine when on thyroid meds. Can anyone advise me please?

withdrawal from carbminazole
hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what advice you have. I was diagnosed with graves after a bad bout of Covid with super high levels and was very unwell. Put on high dose of carbminazole and now down to 5mg- 4 times a week and have normal bloods for quite a while now

Oncology ENT referral
At the end of June (25th) I started to have terrible ear ache. I tested positive for covid a couple of days later. As soon as I was negative, I went to the doctor. My ear canal was incredibly swollen. I got an antibiotic and anti fungal ear spray. It didn’t go away so I got another course of the spray

List of sympathetic Endochronologists?
Hi I had RAI and currently on T4/T3 combo. I have been getting a private prescription from my GP for the T3 as in 2018 she said our PCC wouldn’t fund it. She is now retiring and my new GP wants to refer me to an Endo to discuss the need for T3 as I have possibly been having heart arythmia recently

Recently diagnosed with Hyper Thyroid. Where to go?
My NHS endocrinologist seems far too busy, so I am looking for private treatment. Also, I infer from the leaflet that he's sent that his standard recommendation is Radioactive Iodine ablation which does not fill me with confidence. Can anyone recommend a good consultant to approach. I live in West

PD Dialysis - Week 5 - Training Day 4
So today (Thursday), it was solo flight day. The PD nurse had me go through the entire connection procedure (which I will document once I get it all typed up this weekend) myself. No major mistakes other than spilling some iodine from the Cap onto my pants (learned to put something over my pants when

Blood tests for chronic fatigue, hair loss, brain fog
Recently I went to get blood work done after experiencing some lethargy, lack of focus and brain fog. Pretty much everything came back within the normal range except for my LDL and total cholesterol which were slightly elevated but nothing too out of whack (LDL 125, HDL 50, total 207) . My doc said I

Question about pregnancy and having children with hypothyroidism after RAI for Graves disease
Hi everyone. I'm really grateful for this forum and appreciate all the generous advice and support. I want ask if there is any female who had RAI at a younger age and went on to have children afterward. I'm curious because I have marriage and children in my future plans and it would be nice to hear

Best blood values
Already learned a lot in this forum and from other sources about optimal blood values for Vit D and B12. Just wonder if similar recommendations exist for zinc, selenium, iodine, iron and omega 3 and 6? I’m on WFPBD, take some supplements and check my blood values every three months, some more expensive

Advice on tablets if liquid thyroxine is still unavailable.
Hi all Having seen my GP today to discuss the lack of liquid thyroxine, she tells me that they cannot just discontinue providing it on the NHS as there are several patients that can't take thyroxine in any other form. It seems it is all cost related and pharmacies don't want to order it and be out
