Scan results with some question
It showed inflammation in both lungs called
pneumonitis
. Right worse then left . It actually said left lung was improved but it was never mentioned in any report before yesterday . Did some research and it could be a side affect from ibrance . I feel great no symptoms for me .

So fed up
Biopsy showed up both areas of
pneumonitis
and fibrosis but at present they want to concentrate on the rituximab before looking at further medication for the fibrosis. I've got to the point that I just can't see an end to it. I'm so sorry for the long rant and I hope you're all as good as can be 😘

Changing Meds to Xeloda/capecitabine
I developed
pneumonitis
and had blood in my sputum when I coughed so now after a two month break and radiation therapy I will be moving on to Xeloda next week if my labs are good. Any advice on Xeloda is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Esther

A cautionary tale about Amiodarone
He is now on a massive dose of steroids because he has interstitial
pneumonitis
, which is an irreversible inflammatory condition of the lungs. This is a well known and often fatal side effect of Amiodarone, which is usually only used for severe, life threatening.

Mtx and breathing difficulties/ chest pain update
Chest x ray was normal and oxygen levels normal, consultant says not
pneumonitis
. GP has signed me off for another week as still not improving. Just said take pain killers. I didn’t expect this to go on so long, can mtx really mess you up for this long? ss

Low Oxygen Levels
I have chronic hypersensitivity
Pneumonitis
with Fibrosis. On 24 hour oxygen and on lung transplant list. Trying to stay fit to help with the post operative recovery but the slightest activity now makes my SAT’s plummet.

Hoping for some advice
The doctor has told my husband that the treatment has a 50/50 chance of shrinking the tumour (they are not able to operate or put him back on immunotherapy due to the
pneumonitis
). Thank you so much to anyone out there who might be able to give their views or advice.

Can anyone share experiences of External Beam Radiotherapy to the lungs?
I have no idea what side effects might develop but I am thinking
pneumonitis
or possibly plural effusion...neither of which are good things to have in a Covid 19 pandemic...already been told that if either of these things happen I would be admitted to hospital and assumed to be Covid positive until proven

Stable CT scan. Five years+ living with Stage IV NSCLC
I am grateful that I just received happy CT scan results that my chest, abdomen, and pelvis look terrific for this Stage IV lung cancer patient: scarring,
pneumonitis
, necrotic femoral head in my hip, and other stuff that we keep watching. The images do not show any new active cancer growth.

Olaparib question - temperature and feeling rubbish.
In the side effects list it says that upper respiratory chest infections and
pneumonitis
are potential problems. If its a simple chest infection then I can deal with that but if its
pneumonitis
then I think the tablets have to be stopped for a while which of course I don't want to happen.
