There’s concern that taking a biopsy of the lining of her lungs will trigger an inflammatory reaction and potentially reactivate her
pneumonitis
. So it would be difficult but not impossible to get another biopsy to see if she’s currently HER2-Low.

Are we approaching end of life?
The doctors indicated that she is aspirating and at high risk for an aspiration event like pneumonia or
pneumonitis
. ,Right now, she can’t swallow any fluids barely, and anything that does go down results in coughing. Anything we spoon in goes out of her mouth.

Does anyone have experience with Enhertu? I was HER2 - low in 2019 and my last liver biopsy was HER2 - 0. Planning to start Enhertu next.
Here is what I’ve been on so far: 1) Fulvestrant and Fasoldex/Pablociclib for 15 months - stopped due to progression in the bone 2) Piqray/Alpelesib and Letrozole for 1 month - had to stop due to severe rash 3) Afinitor/Everolimus and exemestane for 8 months - stopped due to
pneumonitis
and progression

The power of love
However afterwards, I got hit with a severe case of
pneumonitis
that required 3 treatment rounds of steroids to kick. That was tougher than the cancer treatment.

Hello, this is a bit of a left field one, and it has come as a complete shock, but on top of all my other post-covid

debilitations I have now been diagnosed with osteoporosis.

Durvalumab not working, based on Guardant 360 Tumor Response Map...
These past 5 months have been (fortunately) mainly uneventful, with the only symptoms presenting being coughing and shortness of breath, likely attributed to a mild to moderate case of
pneumonitis
from either the chemoradiation of Durvalumab treatment.

In all honesty...
So I have chronic hypersensitivity
pneumonitis
& was diagnosed about 10 years ago. It's been up & down, but I was found to be hypoxic at the start of this year and have been prescribed ambulatory oxygen. Struggling to come to terms with in all honesty.

Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy treatment affecting my lungs.
Now I am diagnosed with Hypersensitivity
Pneumonitis
and Bronchiolitis. On 1st January I have started using oxygen for 2 hours daily. The illness is progressing. I had very aggressive chemo too. Carboplatin and Taxol which are known to cause scarring too.

Unfortunate News precipitated by rare side effect of Docetaxl
He was taken to emergency on Jan 6th where a lung x-ray was conducted and he was diagnosed with Non-specific interstitial
pneumonitis
(NSIP) - perhaps ILD (interstitial lung disease) induced by chemo, and he was started on 40mg soluble medrol (methyl prednisolone) via infusion for 5 days.

Interstitial pneumonitis secondary to auto immune disease
I started a reducing dose of Prednisolone January 2021 and also Mycophenolate in January 2021. I dont get breathless or any other symptoms except occasional dry cough. Has any one else on the ILD forum had experience of these meds and most importantly do they work ?? There is so much negativity about

Scan results with some question
It showed inflammation in both lungs called
pneumonitis
. Right worse then left . It actually said left lung was improved but it was never mentioned in any report before yesterday . Did some research and it could be a side affect from ibrance . I feel great no symptoms for me .

So fed up
Biopsy showed up both areas of
pneumonitis
and fibrosis but at present they want to concentrate on the rituximab before looking at further medication for the fibrosis. I've got to the point that I just can't see an end to it. I'm so sorry for the long rant and I hope you're all as good as can be 😘
