Visiting our lovely Professor.
So we are going to try
plaquenil
again. I tried it in 2007 and I felt it depressed me and gave e nightmares he does not want that so thinks just 2 pills per week may be OK. I need to ring him in 3 months to say how it is going and going back in 6 months.

Going to see the Prof on Tuesday strangely nervous
I have warfarin and tried
plaquenil
in the past so he most likely has nothing else to offer. Despite all my new issues I don't think there I any other treatments. I guess I should just stop moaning and be grateful. My son seeing the prof and getting a positive tested has shocked me into action.

Update from Oz
On the bright side, it appears that the
Plaquenil
she has been taking is at last having a good effect in that her mobility has increased dramatically and her pain levels are much reduced. She says her headaches are much better and she no longer has a constant back ache.

Can blisters on hands be Lupus related?
If lupus related, could this happen by decreasing
Plaquenil
, which was doctors suggestion. He wanted to see what would happen, is this something he would like to know?

Presumed lupus and thyroid swollen
In the end ,i went home with a prescription of
plaquenil
to improve the symptoms. Only i am feeling sicker with this drug. It is making me nauseous and it is giving me a boring headache. Not migrane, but it is like a hangover pain. Do you feel that to?

Plaquenil and Pregabalin with Activated Charcoal?
Hi all, Anyone know if it is OK to take charcoal capsules whilst on
plaquenil
and pregabalin? I've found they're fantastic for reducing the flatulence problem but then I googled and saw that it can also absorb the active effects of the drugs as well...

Change of meds - thoughts, experiences please
I had been on Methotrexate injection but stopped 2 weeks ago as I had a few mishaps with the self jabs and just didn't want to take it anymore also due to the nausea, I carried on with the
Plaquenil
. He agreed that he wouldnt want to take it if it made him unwell.

How long on steroids?
I'm worried that instead of being able to taper down while
Plaquenil
starts working, I only seem to be extending the steroids. Have you been on steroids for more than 6 weeks, say?

Could it be the Planqenil?
Due to picking up a gastro bug that set me off for a couple of weeks, I was told to only start the
plaquenil
once the bug had gone and I felt well enough to take it. i have been on the
plaquenil
for the past 4 weeks - and have never felt so achy or tired????

Update on what's been going on.
I've got both OA & inflammatory arthritis & am on
Plaquenil
& sufasaalsine plus amytriptiline, Meloxicam, & solpadol. I had to stop the sulph as it was thought that it was giving me bad taste/smell problems. Stopping it didn't improve the taste, so started back on it.

Just moved, stressed and exhausted, no GP yet, need advice.
I’m only on
Plaquenil
at the moment - haven’t seen a doctor for over a year. Can you please give me any advice on how to pull through? Any vitamins I should take? I’ll appreciate any advice that would make life a little more bearable until I see a specialist. Thanks

A new Miracle Drug.. Well so far..
Have gone off prednisone totally and no Arava or
Plaquenil
.. Although I will still need to take Methotrexate with the Simponi forever.. I do need to add that it costs 1500.00 a month for the one injection and you really need good insurance or are on disability..

If your on Hyroxychloroquine read what i found out on Lupus UK
It has come to our attention that some lupus patients have been receiving Quinoric® instead of their usual
Plaquenil
® and it has caused adverse effects on their health.
Plaquenil
® and Quinoric® both use the same active ingredient (Hydroxychloroquine) but they may have different fillers or dyes.
