So I called the GP in desperation and was given
pizotifen
- which rang a bell from the mists of time. I think I may have been offered it years ago but was probably breast feeding or pregnant.

Pizotifen
Has any of you ever taken
Pizotifen
for migraine prevention? How did you go? My head specialist prescribed the medic to me but I am not sure why because it looks like it has major side-effects (and my specialist know this is a known issue for me) and the evidence is not there really.

Back to back Migraines - how do you medicate?
I am currently take
pizotifen
as a preventative treatment. Nothing is working. The neurologist are always banging on about the fact you should only be taking meds (Almotriptan at present) three times a week or it'll cause rebound headaches.

Gap in taking Pizotifen
Having had migraines for 50 years I have finally found some success taking
Pizotifen
0.5mg nightly. I have been taking them for about 4 months but ran out and missed a dose before I managed to get any more. What followed was a 72 hour migraine, couldn't take the next dose as was being sick.

Pizotifen?
I have been prescribed
Pizotifen
and am reluctant to try as once again they incur lots of side effects and haven’t been able to tolerate many of the other meds I’ve tried. However, they seems to be relatively good for migraine.

Blood test results
Also gave me
Pizotifen
. Got to take them for a month. Don't really know if they work , as I sometimes went weeks without the headaches. At the moment I'm fine , sleeping well. The headaches are tension, over front and sides .Wouldn't say bad ,but annoying. Below are test results.

Vestibular Migraine - Can anyone relate to these symptoms?
Two specialists have said its vestibular migraine and I have tried propranolol, amitriptaline,
pizotifen
and serc but all have increased the dizziness and made me feel really out of it. I am now trying feverfew, Q10 and magnesium but its early days on them.
